Buffs Finish Strong At New Mexico Classic

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— University of Colorado junior Alex Von Hagen led the Buffs at the New Mexico Classic on Saturday with a fifth-place finish in the heptathlon.

Von Hagen recorded 5,042 points in the heptathlon and his score was the third best ever in CU’s history. Von Hagen edged out teammate Adam Salzmann (4,877) for the best finish on the team as Salzmann finished with a seventh-place finish.
