SEATTLE, Wash. — University of Colorado freshmen Allie McLaughlin and Laura Tremblay, along with junior Laura Thweatt, each recorded NCAA provisional times in the 3,000-meter run at the UW Invitational on Saturday at Dempsey Indoor Track.
McLaughlin made her collegiate track debut in quick fashion as she clocked a time of 9 minutes, 23.31 seconds. She placed third overall and was the top collegiate finisher in the race. Amy Hastings won the 3k with a time of 8:58.45 and Jen Rhines was second (8:58.47); both were running unattached. McLaughlin’s time currently ranks sixth in the NCAA Division I rankings.
