Disclaimer: if you don't want to discuss football uniforms, feel free to put this thread on ignore.

As always, I look forward to the usual suspects ignoring that disclaimer and posting repeatedly that discussing uniforms is lame.

I wanted to start this thread because of the seriously sweet new helmets School of Mines will be wearing next year:

SIAP since those have been announced for awhile, but I thought they were awesome. I love the stick of dynamite in the burros mouth.
 


Dez Bryant, Brandon Weeden, and Dan Bailey served as "models" for the reveal.

Custom bandanna pattern on all the trim features the all of OSU's retired jersey numbers.

Yikes. I woudl have thought those were UA unis based upon looks, but Nike?! Those are pretty bad. I guess it's neat that they tried some new unique stuff in there but I am extremely thankful that CU's redesign last year didn't yield results like these. With the exceptions of some of the helmets, those are all pretty heinous.

They are very "Cowboy" imo. If thats what they are going for then cool I guess.

I was going to say the same thing. They show it in the new Athletic Facilities videos still. I wonder if it is for a bowl game only. It also does not have the CU logo on the side. I tried pausing but it is too blurry to make out what is on the helmet.

New 2016 Kentucky Wildcats threads smartly incorporate a checkerboard sleeve, replacing the stripe design.

Nike swoosh shows up under the thigh pad, which is a new and subtle way for another brand placement.

Let's see if others get the checkerboard. The blue squares will really contrast nicely in the endzone of Rocky Top.

An alternative Wildcat logo was also revealed.

It's a special helmet to be worn by team captains - will look a little strange having those mixed in with our normal lids, but the captains probably like standing out.
 
Godammit! Literally, two days ago, I thought to myself "at least there's no uniform thread this off season." You people are all that's wrong with America!

I thought they were celebrating legal marijuana in CO and it was a spliff in the mouth. Oh well, it's still cool I guess.
