2021 Offseason Thread

247 had something on him today.
What that McChesney said Walters didn't want to coach at CU? Other than him trying to get the HC job last year, I guess Matt could be right.

Also, you mentioning Tosh as OLB coach would be fantastic. Unfortunately, Tosh can probably hand pick the program he goes to as a position coach only, and would likely warrant $800k-$1m/year. Zero chance that happens.

Would Jim Leavitt come back as DC? I think he still owns a home in Boulder. I know he wants to be a head coach again but we sure could use the same awesome D he brought when he was here before.
I really hope our hiring pool is not limited to those who own homes in Boulder already. Also, if TS was too fiery, then I'm sure Leavitt and KD won't be two cats in a sack.

Point being is Lewis needs to beat both him and Shrout out. If he plays like he did in the bowl game, he's capable of it. Don't hand him (or anybody for that matter) anything.

The QB position is unique. Not enough snaps available with the first team. Can't split first team snaps equally. Lewis should get most of the first team snaps. If Shrout outplays Lewis. Shrout should be promoted to get more first team snaps. After saying that. Lewis is the best QB on campus. He should get all of the first team snaps.

Yeah-I didn't say what specifically because I couldn't remember when that post was. If that's right, great. If not, oh well.

Tosh isn't happening here-he's a pipe dream that CU fans have been obsessing over for a decade. You're right on him-If he wants to come back to CFB he'll have his choice of jobs.

Honestly, I wouldn't be too disappointed with Wilson as DC as long as a strong DL or recruiter is hired there (I'd love to hire a Don Treadwell type if a secondary job comes open or another position spot; head coaching experience, secondary experience, and o. coordinator experience and currently working at a I-AA school).

Leavitt really isn't a bad option, either if he can co-exist with the coaches.

Rod Broadway comes to my mind as another interesting option who has had success at lower levels as a head coach and is a defensive guy.

Joseph Gillespie at Tulsa has had some success this year (TX connections, too).

I'll stop spit-balling, but I always like seeing how coordinator hires play out...

First name that came to mind since he currently holds Co-DC title with Marvin Lewis. Would replace the LB coach role and bring an A+++ recruiter. Yes. Please.

Edit: Nevermind looks like he was promoted at ASU
Who gives a ****. Poach the **** out of him. Get a freaking loan from the lending club, I don’t care. But upgrade the **** out of our staff rn.

Wilson seems like a typical CU hire. And the timing is right after Wilson might hop for Miami. Either this is nothing, or Dorrell really wants to keep Wilson
