This weekends games 12/6 -12/7

Vegas has the capacity to handle the fans from each school even when booking at the last minute. It also has enough other things going on that a lot of fans will just use the game as an excuse to go.

Add that December in the bay area can be unpleasant, Vegas in December is very appealing.

From a business standpoint if they want to show the corporate sponsors a great time Vegas is much superior.
Just think about how many people would go to Vegas for championship Saturday, sort of like March madness, and just go to a game while they are there. It’s a perfect situation and Scott would be stupid to mess with it.

Have you been to a championship game at Levi's before?

Never been there, but I've heard plenty of negative press about the location with last year's NC game and going back to SB 50. Not only sounds like a bad location but an odd location - isn't it out near a business park?

You just can take give people excuses out there but the feedback from the championship last year was actually quite positive.

was this sarcasm? The B1GCG has been sparesly attended the last several years, notably two years ago, last time Wisconsin played. Even more notably, the last time OSU and UW played the place was empty.

Even using the B1G's method of reporting attendance by 'tickets distributed' vs 'turnstile count', the B1GCCG hasn't sold out in a long time.

Most of these conference championship games are not all that well attended outside of the SEC. The ACC has also done well in recent years with the game being in Charlotte and Clemson getting there regularly. Not surprisingly, the one year they moved it to Orlando it didn't draw nearly as well.

ah ok, didn't realize that. Maybe it was just the expectations I was thinking of that were negative for last year's championship game.

Are you ****ing kidding me? Do they know what targeting is? I think it’s a stupid ass call to begin with and I think it’s called way too much. But, I’ve seen ejections for less.

This is what happens when a really good team meets a team that’s more talented than them. Oregon has nobody to blame but themselves for not going to the playoff.

I agree that Oregon's the better team but don't forget that in addition to the ASU game Oregon needed a near-miracle comeback in the last minute against WSU and they were on the ropes against Washington until UW choked that one away.
