Greg McDermott

The team’s star, Marcus Zegarowski, who is mixed-race I believe, has spoken up on behalf of his coach. The player stated:

I know he made a really sensitive mistake, a really bad mistake with what he said but only I know everything that he’s done for me as a player, but more important as a human being. And he loves me, he loves everybody in that locker room and he’s shown that every single day I’ve been on this campus since June of 2018.
That’s my coach and I love that dude. But people make mistakes. That’s my guy.

If the guys still want to play for him, ok. If they don't, I'd understand that as well. I agree with @Darth Snow that the players should make that determination. It's just a messy situation, but whatever the players want to do is what I'd go with.

I think it was him ****ing up a cliche and using ths wrong word. Given what I know of him from his time at WSC, he was highly spoken of as just a good dude.

Now...take that with a grain of salt because these are people from a small town in Nebraska whom I heard this from.

One has to wonder if the TyTy Washington decommit is related to this.
On one specific kid unless he comes out and talks about it we won't know.

Absolutely no way though that this doesn't get talked about though by coaches recruiting against Creighton. That aspect is going to follow McDermott the rest of his career

According to Eric Bossi, Colorado is one of about a dozen teams to contact Ty Washington. Along with kentucky, duke, maryland, illinois, etc. Sorry, I can't link the article from my phone.
