'20 AZ WDE Jason Harris (SIGNED to COLORADO)

His Twitter background is now a buffs background. Never a bad sign. Also he looks cool as a Buff.
It’s been a Buffs background almost going back to his visit here. Wouldn’t say that means that much, it’s just a great pic with a great background.

He could potentially be the best pass rusher we have had since Al Williams. Completely changes what you can do on defense when you have a guy who can threaten the QB without having to open yourself up with the blitz.

If we could get Berry, Alfano, and Harris we become one of the best units in the PAC12, a d-front that can dominate games. With Sami and Lang both young it becomes an intimidating group.

Get him and Berry, possibly Ivey as well and we might have our best DL since the early 90’s.
I think Alfano might contribute as well.
This is the big thing here. We are looking at not just one but multiple quality DL recruits who could contribute early. Alfano is a young guy. Sami is Fr and Lang is a Soph.

For many of the years in the past couple decades we have been trying to figure out if we had enough defensive linemen to make a starting line-up. Now we will be looking at a situation where we will have guys rotating in who would have been full time starters in those years.

Mel Tucker seems to get it.

Well, he's had some stops at universities that operate that very way. It would be hard to believe he didn't pick anything up from those experiences, NFL stops, too.😀

Buffs have some prospective man-eating D-lineman coming in. Sniffing some good secondary prospects. This defense may be good in the next couple seasons, and possibly a world of change from the defensive play from this year.

Brenden Rice is a big dude and Harris makes him look tiny

He sure does... I remember a couple years back there was a discussion on here about how hard it was to get D Line talent. We could get good DB's and coach them up but the size and speed needed for P5 football made them a lot more scarce and a lot harder for a smaller school like CU to attract...

I'd say we're doing pretty well with DL's

Helps if you coaches aren't making excuses for why they can't get DL talent.

Also helps when they aren't siting in their offices rubbing their knees instead of being out recruiting.
