'20 TNFR SDE Antonio Alfano (SIGNED and ENROLLED with COLORADO)

Hopefully this is HCMT working his magic. Obviously there is opportunity to play right away on the D-line.

Not close enough to have landed Jalen Hurts for the Buffs I guess.

Hurts and Alfano are apples and oranges-this season will probably make Hurts (he's nowhere near the pro prospects that Burrow and Tua are) a 2nd-3rd round pick at the latest, and there might have been a Masters program at OU that we didn't offer. You can't compare the two.

Gotta think he'd go closer to home given the nature of his departure from Alabama. /shrug

So......Rutgers? Lol. No he needs to play for a guy like Mel. Did he get into any games before he left Alabama?

This new 247 blog post makes me feel a little more discouraged than anything. Seems like the lede is that he’s following a bunch of CU staff on Twitter which was already covered in this thread.

Then it follows with quotes from Saban about how he just quit on the program in September. I’m desperate for excitement here so it’s not like I’m trying to be a negative nancy.

Why would any of that make you feel more discouraged?

Please god I have suffered enough. PLEASE give us just ONE player like this for our DL. This is the kind of kid that makes everyone else on the line look better because he’s constantly double teamed.

Saban is a turd of a human being, I wouldn't put much value in what he says.

Alfano is a supremely talented player, we should be extremely excited to get him. He left, who knows why, maybe it's a red flag maybe it just wasn't for him.

I’m sure our staff is willing to risk a few red flags for talented players, but considering they have encouraged various players to move on and even kicked a player off the team at a position of need, I trust that they have done their full due diligence on Alfano’s situation and have found that it’s not a big deal. Knowing Tucker’s relationship with Saban, I also have to imagine they have spoken about it all and Mel has gotten the low down.

As a side note, it’d be pretty cool if Tucker and Saban’s relationship was one where Saban really encouraged Bama guys looking to transfer to consider CU.
