Thought I'd start this thread now for us to note anything interesting anyone sees during the off-season related to CU Lacrosse.

1st up, best wishes to #ForeverBuff Sarah Brown as she gets ready to play in a new pro league, with her 1st game scheduled for tomorrow evening. Per the below, coverage is on CBS Sports, with the opening draw scheduled for 5:30 PM MT.

Hopefully a fun weekend upcoming for current and past lax Buffs!

BOULDER — The University of Colorado lacrosse team will celebrate their 2021 season this upcoming weekend with several events, including its annual alumni scrimmage and banquet.

The scrimmage will take place Saturday, September 18, at Kittredge Field. The alumni will take on the current team in a scrimmage at 8 a.m. on Kittredge Field. While fans are invited to attend, parking will be limited with CU's football game against Minnesota starting at 11 a.m.

The banquet will take place on Sunday, September 19, from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Arrow Touchdown Club. It will give the 2021 team a chance to come back together to celebrate the season which saw the Buffs advance to their third straight Pac-12 Championship game after accumulating a 4-3 record in league play. Overall CU recorded an 8-7 record.

Colorado will also celebrate the athletes who exhausted their eligibility in the 2020 and 2021 seasons.

Just based on the below post, GUESSING (???) the team may have had some off-season scrimmages hosted by Northwestern this weekend.

SAN FRANCISCO — Colorado received 20 points to finish second in the 2022 Pac-12 Lacrosse Preseason Coaches Poll the conference office announced Monday.

The Buffaloes, who were third in the 2021 regular season standings and advanced to the conference tournament championship for the third straight year, earned one of the six first-place votes.

The reigning conference champion, Stanford, received four first-place votes to record 24 points to finish first in the poll. Arizona State earned the other first-place vote (17 points) and was third in the poll, while USC finished fourth (15). California placed fifth with eight points and Oregon was sixth with six points.

Coaches are not allowed to vote for their teams.

The 2022 campaign officially gets underway for Colorado on Friday, February 11, against Louisville at Kittredge Field in Boulder. This will be the second time in as many years the two teams will face each other in the season opener; the two met last year to open the 2021 schedule in Louisville.

The Buffs open Pac-12 play March 11 against Southern California in Los Angeles.
