I didn't think we expected it to start after Week 3.

Happy to close this thread so an official one can be created, but we can also roll from here if that works for the usual leaders of that thread.

Not shocked by either firing. UCLA had to make a move after that ****-show Friday night. VT too-you don't survive losing to G6 teams by 3-4 scores.
Next game for UCLA is at Northwestern after the bye. They have to hope for the dead cat bounce because after that game starting with Penn State their remaining opponents are a combined 23-0. I don't see a Cal on the schedule to save them from going winless.

They'll beat like Maryland or somebody at home.

Could be wrong, but I believe they can “transfer” but finish out the current semester or quarter so they will officially be at the new school for start of next quarter/semester
I'm pretty sure you are right. They can't go play for someone else this season, but they can enter the portal and not have this season count towards their eligibility clocks.

The guy who I think will be at the top of the hot board for a lot of good jobs is Eric Morris from North Texas. He's got things humming at UNT after somehow building a winner at Incarnate Word. Maybe the best QB developer & handler around (Leach-Kingsbury coaching tree).

I would think Clark Lea would be up there for an upper tier job but haven't heard his name floated for either of the 2 P4 openings, and likely soon to be 3 with Florida.

I don’t think he’s leaving Vandy. They have money, he’s showing he can win there and he’s an alum. The Cover3 guys were talking about how Vandy can beat anyone in the SEC this year. Not predicting them to win the conference, but saying people shouldn’t really be surprised if they are in the conversation late in the season.

Cover 3 pumps sunshine about Vandy almost as aggressively as DNVR does for the Buffs

Do they have a connection to Vandy? That's not a pattern I've recognized but I only listen to clips on social media. I think the opinion is valid, though. Again, they aren't predicting Vanderbilt to win the SEC or anything, but would it be that surprising to see them beat Alabama again in a few weeks? Or Missouri or Auburn? I'd be genuinely shocked if they beat LSU or Texas, although Texas looks pretty meh with Arch at QB right now.
