4 years playing basketball, moved to the United States in October of 2019, played a season in Kentucky and then moved to Denver to stay with his brother during the pandemic. Recent mutual follows with a number of Bufffs staff members. Colorado Prep was founded by former Buff, Xavier Silas.

Given what we've seen from Jabari Walker in the last two games, it could be the Buffs will need another forward in the next season or two. And it seems Tad is good at finding players to sign late who make an impact.

Mbaye would be well served to look at how guys have improved under Tad.

Walker is a good example. Also Bey, Dre, and a number of others who were good but not considered 4*/5* type prospects coming out of high school who ended up outplaying their recruiting ratings and in some cases ended up in the NBA.

Or that he, or the system he has in place, is one of the better evaluators of talent as well as a developer of the talent.

It all works together.

Tad is very good at evaluating talent and at finding guys who are still growing their games.

He is also very good at getting those guys to work at making themselves better and at fitting in to the system and the team.

The system he has developed and the team culture forms players into the best player they can be, those guys then perpetuate the culture.

Bottom line though for a kid who is has a lot of raw talent but is fairly new to the game of basketball like Mbaye is history would indicate that he has a better chance of growing to meet his potential playing for Coach Boyle than he would at a lot of other schools.

I'm good with taking a project with upside like Mbaye to round out this particular class – hopefully he can develop a bit more explosiveness in a Pac-12 S&C program – with his height and length the dude should be dunking all of those open layups
