'21 CO TE Terrance Ferguson (Signed to Oregon)

Weren’t even in the conversation with the last staff. Biggest hurdle for CU with the few legit P5 level kids each year is that they just don’t want to go to CU.

Yeah, thank God we don’t have a TE like this on the roster!
Ferguson had 7 more catches and 154 more yards than Brady Russell in the 2022 regular season. Not a very big difference considering Oregon is an offensive machine and we had one of the most historically bad offenses in the history of CFB. Russell is not a great TE as has been admitted consistently on this board yet Russell's 2021 numbers were almost identical to Ferguson's this season during an even worse statistical offensive season.

I'll be fine with admitting I was wrong down the line, but there's no reason to do so yet.

some of you assholes need to get back to work because you evidently have way too much free time!
Some of the posts on 247 that were "mountainous" about the new kicker transfer from JSU were absolutely mind boggling.

7 to 0. We can also look at stats over 1st two seasons played, and on and on. Avg ppg scored by their respective teams, % of passing plays per season and target stats. Still holding true to my assessment until proven otherwise.

We can also watch a guy play and see that he is a damn good college player. Ferguson looked the part last night and made plays.

Oregon’s TE position group is one of the better ones in the nation. They rotate a lot, which also influences the individual stats. Ferguson is a very good player. Presently, he is projected #5 TE in the 2025 NFL draft, which would be round 3 or 4, depending on the year.

His stats are solid for a sophomore tight end. Of the top 5 tight ends (by receiving yards), three were seniors, one was a junior, and one was a sophomore (Ja'Tavion Sanders who was the #13 overall recruit in the 2021 class).

Lol. You've already been proven otherwise.

I just can’t see this thread without thinking of the great Burt Reynolds.

Ferguson is a good player and yes I wish he was a Buff. I don't care what the statistics say it is easy to see that he is a level above Brady Russell.

Last night though in addition to showcasing Ferguson also highlighted something I have talked about before which is that a lot of college defenses, even some that are otherwise solid, have a weakness when faced with an effectively used TE. College LBs and safeties aren't prepared to deal with a big guy who can move and catch the ball.

Shouldn't be a surprise because we even see that in the pros frequently.
