For some reason I can't cut and paste from the article, so I'll paraphrase where necessary.

I'm not a big Hawk-Basher. My outlook on the team has been reduced to despondency, and so much of the excitement that I've enjoyed surrounding Buffs football and college football in general for the last 20 years is absent this season. Has Coach Hawkins contributed to my attitude toward our team? Probably. All in all, however, it's the cumulative factor of one kick in the nuts after another that prevents me from even feeling the slightest bit of hope anymore.

BUT...

Hawk's remark about the fans supporting the team (paraphrased) even after that disappointing season in 2006? WHAT???!!! What about three out of four disappointing seasons, and let's face it, even the one that wasn't an outright disappointment was still disappointing!!! Are you kidding me!!!! The disappointing season in 2006???!!!!! **** **** **** ****!!!!! ****!!!!!

That's just stupid. And also, let's be honest about something. The economy probably has very little to do with declining ticket sales. Okay?

:yeahthat: 2009 produced exactly ONE more win than that "very disappointing" 2006.

The good news is, according to Dave Plati, they only expect attendance to decline by 200 people per game.
