LAS VEGAS — The Colorado Buffaloes had not played on a neutral floor since the opening game of the season, and at first the similarities were striking.

In that season-opener against nationally-ranked Iowa State, CU scored just 25 points in the first half, a mark that was matched as the team's season-low for a half late in the opening frame Tuesday night against Penn State.
