BOULDER — For the first time since the opening week of the season, the Colorado lacrosse team is heading out on the road. The Buffaloes have a pair of Pac-12 Conference contests this week as they wrap-up the first half of league play.

The first stop for CU will be Los Angeles on March 26 as Southern California will host the Buffs at 5 p.m. MT. Following that game, the Buffs will head to Tempe, Ariz., to face Arizona State on March 28 at 2 p.m. MT at SD Stadium. Both games will be streamed for free online. Links to the streams and live stats will be available at CUBuffs.com.

Colorado is 3-3 and owns a 1-1 record in Pac-12 play. Two of its three losses this season have come in overtime, which includes its loss to then-No. 20 Stanford on March 20 to open conference play. The Buffs rebounded two days later with a 15-5 win against California.
...

ABOUT SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA: The Trojans are 4-3 this season, which includes a 1-1 record in Pac-12 play. USC defeated Cal in its conference opener on March 12 (18-10) before falling to Arizona State (20-9) on March 19, which is the Trojans' only home loss this season.

Kelsey Huff leads USC with 18 points (15g, 3a), but Ella Heaney has the team-high in goals with 17. She is tied for second on the team in points with Issy McMahon who has recorded six goals and 11 assists this year. Maddie McDaniels has recorded 70 draw controls for USC, while Riley Hertford has a team-best 18 ground balls and nine caused turnovers. She has played six games in net (348:19 minutes) and in that time has recorded a 12.06 goals against average as well as a 44.0 save percentage for a 3-3 record. Delaney Sweitzer has the other win for USC. In 71:41 minutes, she has allowed 12 goals and made eight saves.

THE SERIES: USC leads the all-time series 7-3. The two teams have met every year since 2014, except for 2020 due to the pandemic. The Buffs are 1-4 in Los Angeles against the Trojans and that win came the last time CU visited USC on April 5, 2019. The Buffs, which were ranked No. 23 at the time, upset then-No. 14 USC 9-8, for their first win at McAlister Field.

ABOUT ARIZONA STATE: The Sun Devils are having one of their best seasons as they are 5-2 overall. They have also recorded a 2-1 mark in Pac-12 play that includes an impressive 20-9 win over USC. Their only losses this season are to Denver (22-10) and Stanford (15-9); both were on the road.

Through seven games, there are four Sun Devils who have recorded 10 or more goals. Carley Adams leads the way with 26, while Emily Glagolev has 18. Kerri Clayton ranks third on the team with 17 goals and Katie Brodsky is fourth with 13. As a team, the Sun Devils are averaging 17.7 goals per game and are holding their opponents to 12.4 per game. Berkeley Bonneau has played 398:37 minutes in seven games. In that time, she has allowed 83 goals and has made 71 saves.

THE SERIES: ASU is one of two Pac-12 opponents the Buffs have never lost to as CU owns a 4-0 record against the Sun Devils. The two programs have met every year since 2018, with the exception of 2020. The Buffs have won twice in Tempe, Ariz., and twice in Boulder against the Sun Devils.

UP NEXT: The Buffs will return home to host USC and Arizona State for the final two home games of the season. CU will face USC first on Friday, April 2, before playing ASU on Sunday, April 4. Both games will be played at Kittredge Field.

Game Notes (Both games) -
https://cubuffs.com/documents/2021/3/24/2021_Lacrosse_Notes_3_25_21.pdf

The Buffs gave up the 1st 7 goals in the 2nd half in about 7 minutes of play, which pretty much took them out of this game.

They did show good fight to go on a 6 goal run themselves, but it's not enough as the Trojans get the 6 goal win (12-18).

The ASU game is underway, and it's 4-3 Buffs (ASU just scored) around 11 minutes into the game.

The Buffs score with 11 seconds left in the 1st half to end a 12+ minute scoring draught- it's 6 all heading into the break in a warm Tempe. (Looks like Charlie Rudy has 5 of the 6 Buff goals so far. Goalie Julia Lisella has been key to helping the Buffs stay in this one as she's saved 11.)

Was on the road, so wasn't able to follow the 2nd half; looks like it wasn't pretty.
