The older Shelly gets, the more I think she looks like her mother RIP.

She did have a career in broadcasting if she wanted it. It was the Amazon career she didn't want.

Glad she is back with the Buffs

It's pretty awesome she is still attached to the team. Remains my all time favorite

I still call her "my kid" and she will always be my all time favorite. She knows it, too. Feels like the 90's again because she has left me tickets this season

Sweet memories. At the Big 8 tournament, a bunch of us put tape in our hair. We lost half our hair getting the tape off. Shelley asked us if he used hair spray first and no we had not.

I attended every game that season, home and away. What a ride.

Even went to the Final Four because I KNEW we were going to be there.

Was lucky enough to be invited to attend the Kodak All American Banquet.

We must've run into each other at some of those big 8 tourneys, I was at a few (with my mom)

I'm sure we did. First few years, we took the bus CU sponsored. Our driver loved us and asked for the trip as soon as he saw it was up for bid. He would take us anywhere in Salina at any time.

Some of the trips home after championships were really fun with the band, Cheerleaders and Chip in the back totally hung over.

Our driver got off I-70 one year when it was closed at the Kansas border. He got us to Salina on back roads. We finally got there after midnight, but we got there.

After CU quit doing the bus trips, I rode with some friends. Remote control tv's had just started. Friend's wife didn't work so she was in charge of getting the two rooms. She got us rooms with no remotes. Her hubby went and found us rooms with remotes. :ROFLMAO:

The CU defense never let OSU feel comfortable, and the Buffs able to find many open shots for their best 3 point shooters. It's 21-6 Buffs after 1. (The announcers said OSU was also behind big against the Utes on Friday, but came back to force overtime.)

It FELT like the Buffs continued to dominate, and they did get the lead to 20+ at least a time or two, but at the end of the quarter it's 35-20 after OSU makes some contested 3's in the ast half of the 2nd quarter.

Hope Buffs keep the solid lead, as foul issues (gotta love Pac 12 officials) could be a problem, especially for the front court. (The personal fout count at the half is 12 against the Buffs vs. 4 for the Beavers, with 3 Buffs holding 2+ fouls.)

Recorded and watched the game this afternoon. The team's energy was high for the entire game lead by Jaylyn Sherrod who was relentless on defense and wise when running the offense. She had 7 assists, 7 steals and only 1 turnover in 30 minutes as well as scoring 15 points.

Also, with Vonleh and Whittaker in foul trouble the team did a great job of limiting OSU's bigs inside and dominated the boards 46-26 (Miller had a career high 19).

A wire to wire win that was never really in doubt.

Gotta like the energy Sherrod brings. She just seems so fearless and i get the sense she really unites the team with her leadership. Vonleh- why did Arizona ever let her go? So glad they did and that we get to see her for a few more years after this. I want to see JR cutting down the nets of our first pac 12 women’s basketball tournament title. She deserves it.

Forgot to mention in my previous post that both wins in Oregon came with Quay Miller being a bit off of her shooting game. She struggled in both games and didn't seem to have the same confidence she had in previous games. Good to see that the team can win without her being up to her standard.
