Hawkins not concerned about future | By Brian Howell © 2010 Longmont Ti

"We tried for the most part, in most of the coverages, to put Jimmy (Smith) inside with him or to put Jalil (Brown) inside on him," Hawkins said. "He got on (Jonathan Hawkins) on the one, to be sure, and sometimes you just don't get lined up the right way."

No Dan, MANY times YOU don't get us lined up the right way.

I love how just nothing puts him in a bad mood. His team just sucked balls yet again on the road, he claims they "tried" to put Jimmy Smith on Broyles, but hey it just doesn't work out sometimes. You know what Dan, you're right it just doesn't work out sometimes. Like your tenure in Colorado, sometimes YOU just don't get the job done. Sometimes your ass has to get fired because you're worthless. Sometimes Colorado football is worse off everyday you show up to go to "work".

Yeah, gosh, sometimes we suck. That's a real shame. But you gotta keep going out there. That's our mantra. It's always been our mantra. That, and get your horns out. OK, so get back out there and get your horns out are our mantras. And bring your lunchpail. OK, so that's three mantras. Get back out there, get your horns out, and bring your lunchpail. And work on the little things...

OK, so our mantra is get back out there, get your horns out, bring your lunchpail, and work on the little things... And just one play away from winning.

OK. Ok. OK. So our mantra is get back out there, get your horns out, bring your lunchpail, work on the little things, and we're just one play away. ... And it's gonna pop.

Same thing different game. CU's next coach needs to have a mentality that it's not okay to lose, it's okay to show emotion and be pissed after losses. Being accountable for just once in 5 years would be refreshing.

Speaking of accountability, I saw an interview with Chip Kelly the other day and they asked, kind of in jest, about 1 game where the offense didn't score 40, and what happened in that game? He quickly answers, "Bad play calling on my part".
