Respect is earned. If we go 8-0 this year that would earn us a lot of respect. Thats not going to happen but it would earn ous some respect.

No it wouldn't.. We lost and the only way to get it back is to start winning some games... We lost to Drake TWICE in the early 80's and by the end of the decade we were winning big..

Respect will come when we start winning again..

I'm only going to revisit this topic once. Otherwise I will die a bitter, angry man. We lost to Montana State. I don't care if they resurrect Bill Walsh and Montana State beats the 1988 49'ers, it doesn't make the fact we lost to Montana State any easier to Swallow.
