Ladies and gentlemen, the Prime effect

Well those ISU numbers explain why we keep getting the late games. We are a good draw when no one else is playing. We are an ok draw when other teams are playing. Somewhat surprised though, that was a great game to watch if you were a neutral fan imo
Our late game vs byu was 2.46 million. By far the highest number of any game starting after 10pm this year.

I assume the Texas vs OU game and the oregon vs Indiana game hurt our numbers

The first quarter and a half were boring AF. I would have turned it off if I didn't have a rooting interest (and was in the stadium).

They need to do what happens with hockey with the digital advertising on the boards. Corporate logos right onto the field while plays are happening. TV announcers- That horrible Salter interception sponsored LASIK Vision Centers. It's never too late to have great vision.

They already do constant marketing on the ribbon boards that surround the stadium, similar to the hockey boards.

Okay that is goddamn hilarious.

I’m trying to think of my hypothetical emotional reaction in real time to such a play and subsequent advertisement.

Figured this was the best place for this. This was published in January but I don't think it was really discussed.

FY 2024 AD Revenues/Expenses. This obviously doesn't include the impending Revenue Sharing expense of around $20.5m, or Prime's contract extension.

Summary: Football alone turned a $26.1m profit, which lead to the AD as a whole making an $8.2m profit. Men's BB essentially breaks even and everything else is a serious resource suck from the AD. Sorry, basketball and all other sports, football will need about 95% of that Rev Sharing $$$ for the next few years and then they can reevaluate if/when football revenues have increased enough to share more.

Media Rights from the PAC12 on the way out with the settlement was another kick in the nuts. That conference did absolutely nothing for us, nothing, nada. Pretty much destroyed our brand and our Texas recruiting and connections. Never should have gone there, and if we had just been decent in the Big12, we could have been offered a spot in the B1G

I disagree.

I'm not a huge Matt Mc fan, but I think he makes some good points here.

He points at one of CP's worst features - the fact he will not get out and recruit. He mentions Matt Russell's son, who he considers a great prospect, and the liimited interest CU has shown. He mentions how many Colorado big men head to the SEC. He mentions what a big deal it would be if CP and an assistant or 2 walked into Valor HS or others.

Says this is the biggest game of CP's career.

Notes how we presently have 38 seniors or transfers on the team, and why that is not good.

Also makes the argument that a lot of guys in the portal are there because they have not been real good where they were.

I've got $25 on the Buffs straight up, $25 with the points.

Go Buffs

Seems about right. CU is #2 in the Big 12 in Revenue and #3 in YoY Rev change. Essentially tied for 4th in valuation with Iowa State, even though CU has $25m more per year in revenue.

The real **** of it is that CU would rank #10 in the ACC in Revenue, #14 in the B1G, and #15 in the SEC.

Also, easy to see why Utah is going all in with PE. Bottom third in Big 12 in revenue and $37m/year behind Colorado and a YoY revenue decrease.

Well, if CU were in those conferences, their revenue would take a big leap.
