Ladies and gentlemen, the Prime effect

A big difference for me this year, is not having to worry about "shoot from the hip" decisions by CP
Last year, decisions like taking the ball 1st in OT, going for it on 4 and 3 (at a bad time) were always a worry.
This year CP is calling much better games.

Gary Barnett (who of all the local CP, 'new Buffs' commentators, is the most knowledgeable), mentions that - about the 3:50 mark. CP has settled in, the sky's the limit.

Yeah I think last year there was still a bit of “SWAC mentality” in gameday coaching and lessons were learned. He is a much better gameday coach this year

Last year I think Prime was just trying to clear out the bad juju in the place. Get his process setup, get his program instilled, and start turning over talent. Use his own lightning rod personality to get people looking at Boulder regardless of outcomes. The fact he won the first 3 games was almost an accident.

This year has been about football and it shows.

The national nabobs always fail to get that we went, not only from 1-11, but losing by an average of 3 or 4 TD’s per game to 4-8 but losing by around a TD per game. And they also never mention that last year we played one of the most difficult schedules in football.

First thought - Hope the coaching staff shares this video with all recruits. And of course getting recruits to campus and to a game.

Second thought - An HBCU environment may be an experience in the football program, I doubt that's what the experience is on campus.

Third thought - Needed to have something about about Prime's insistence on academic success.
Yeah! I’d really love to hear any national guy discussing Travis mention that he also has a 4.0 gpa!!

Given how much time football players spend within the confines of the program a HBCU environment can be cultivated within it. The wider interactions with the campus and community will not model that environment, however that can be beneficial for the vast majority of players who will never play in the NFL. No other P4 program would have allowed Deion as much control over building a culture as CU does. That is partly where the discussions around the environment Deion brings come from.

Now he's trying to get the good Juju in the place.

CP stays and we keep pulling these type of ratings, we are going to get into the big leagues in the next round. pay him. whatever he wants. the value of not being relegated to the lower tier is worth it. for the whole CUAD, not just football. every program will be in a better spot.

Big leagues makes it harder to slide into the CFP every year. Big12 is the easier ticket

Despite the late kickoff, CU still did 2.34m viewers, which is the second highest viewed game in that timeslot, second to.... CU vs KSU two week prior that did 3m+

Bearcats dragging us down.

for now.

big and sec are pushing for more guaranteed spots AND the payout differential is huge and going to get worse. the only way to be sure we don't get left out of the next configuration is getting a big invitation or whatever replaces the big.

sure, if things stay exactly like this, then we could possibly be like Clemson has been in the acc or Texas was in the b12 and so forth. better to go for the sure thing money in the long run if we are able.

also, I think CP can out recruit anyone regardless of conference.
