Mel Tucker - Head Coach University of Colorado (Not)

One never knows how a coach will turn out, but you should be psyched if Mel Tucker is the choice. Other than geography, I’m not sure what boxes he doesn’t check. I’d add that CU already recruits Georgia to a limited degree under ExHCMM, and he could build on that. The state of Georgia is #2 in per capital talent and in particular produces a ton at the DT and strong side DE positions. CU needs those guys in the trenches in a big way. He also runs a hybrid system out of a 3-4 base, so we don’t need to re-start the D from the ground up.

I would love him to replace Eliot but HC? man. NC and KU are going the old CEO/HC route. and I like that idea. Old dude that knows the ropes training a stud OC and DC (in waiting). but I do understand all these guys have huge egos and then your dealing with that. I just wish someone would be announced.

Wut? Hell no!

Les Miles is having an issue hiring anyone and Mack Brown hired Greg Robinson as his DC.

I am just saying I like that model with good OC / DC. Perfect world scenario. The egos would get in the way. yea, we dodged a bullet with miles.

Never coached west of Illinois. Be Interested to see what roots if any he has in pac 12 country and what asset coaches he would bring in.

I'm nitpicking now but lake seems a better fit but I will let things play out. He might be just the guy to turn this around.

This looks like it's for real folks.

This from the GoDawgs guy at CFB Home... who just happens to be followed by CU Regent & huge athletics advocate Heidi Ganahl.
