Official Mark Johnson Appreciation Thread...

Dude is top notch all around.

Football and basketball, I'd be surprised if you can find a play-by-play guy that compares.

I feel bad that he has had to deal with the past decade of football, but damn...

Total professional.

Really good guy, has a perfect voice for the job he does and really does do a professional job.

This thread seems kind of out of left field, though. I mean, there's never a bad time to say something nice about someone, but I was afraid he'd had a heart attack or something.

He's got a good radio voice and bleeds black & gold. There's also nothing like hearing "right between the eyes from downtown"

Nik's an asshole. Never a bad time to rip someone.

MJ is our ally. He's one of the only local sports guys who will go out of his way to mention the Buffs.

He is getting even better too. Had to run to Walgreens right before half, and he mentioned the score twice in five minutes.

I reside in left field.

He's pretty decent as much as the groaning after a 3 annoys the **** out of me. I can pick up a decent amount of college games driving around out here and there are some godawful radio guys.

I remember when KOA hired him, a lot of us were like "who the Hell is that?"

I still would have preferred Mike Haynes, but MJ doesn't bother me too much.

I think he's good. Voice is easy to listen to most of the time. He is accurate with names, court/field action. My beefs with him are trivial when compared with some other guys' glaring annoyances. One minor annoyance is the "chest high snap." My way of thinking is that let's ALWAYS assume it's a chest high snap and don't say so. IF the snap is too high, or too low, feel free to describe that.

Oregon could've used some chest high snaps.

THANK YOU! THANK YOU MARK JOHNSON!

Yes, he is good at what he does, very good. But his voice is louder than a 747

I wonder what he'd charge to announce the play-by-play of my lovemaking? Because that would be allsome.

Oregon could have used some THIGH HIGH snaps!!!!!!! What's up with Helfrich not having the #2 OC totally prepared???
Oh, and fire that DC last week!! Total doofus! Losing to a back-up QB.....no excuse.
