Seems like the season just started and it is coming to a close. Two more full weekends of games on the schedule.

The college schedule is full of tradition and that last week has a bunch of big traditional rivalries.
This week has tradition as well, the tradition of a bunch of SEC schools padding their schedules with paid patsies that ride buses to their games.

The weekday games include a bunch of MAC teams playing for their spots in Who Cares and Empty Seats Bowls.

Tuesday Ohio (7-3) is at Ball State (5-5) and Bowling Green (5-5) is at Toledo (7-3). The five win teams need one more for bowl eligibility.
Wednesday Eastern Michigan (6-4) is at Kent State (4-6.) The other games are teams with losing records. Anyone watching either has a connection to the schools or has nothing else to do including clipping their nails or organizing their sock drawer.

Thursday is a bit more interesting, giving us SMU (6-4) hoping to knock off a ranked (21) Tulane (8-2.)

No PAC game on Friday. Instead we get a mistake and a mismatch.

South (Suck) Florida (1-9) will provide Tulsa (Turdsa) (3-7) a chance to look slightly more respectable.
New Mexico (2-8) is far from respectable hosting San Diego State (6-4) who should get an easy win.

Saturday has some solid games but many of those in the south aren’t included in that.

Will (8) Alabama even break a sweat against the mighty Governors of Austin Peay (7-3 at FCS.) Cheer them on “Let’s go Peay.”
Not to be topped in the soft scheduling department (6) LSU brings in UAB (5-5,) and (20) Florida State gets Lousy Ana (5-5) sometimes known as Louisiana.

There are some actual, close to top 25 matches this week. Illinois (7-3) which just dropped out of the top 25 probably won’t be back in after playing at (3) Michigan (10-0.) Likewise Kentucky (6-4) which just dropped out has the honor of hosting (1) Georgia.

The only actual top 25 matchups are in the PAC which has a bunch of ranked teams but every year gets enough rank performances to stay out of the playoff.

(7) USC (9-1) goes cross town to (16) UCLA (8-2) which choked against Arizona last week. Don’t think after this one that any opposing fans will be crying about running up the score.
(10) Utah is at (12) Oregon. Oregon is another team that choked away a win last week, granted against a better opponent thus costing themselves a shot at the playoff. Both teams are 8-2.

Wisconsin has struggled to a 5-5 record this year but everyone gets well against Nebraska (3-7) and they can earn bowl eligibility with a win in the land of meth and single wide trailers and double wide women..

It’s always fun to see **** Bailor (6-4) lose as they should this weekend with (4) TCU (10-0) coming in working to keep their playoff chances alive.

Closer to home Wyoming (7-3) can grab the lead in the MWC Mountain Division by beating Boise (7-3) in Laramie this weekend. Forecast is for a sunny 29 degrees and being Laramie breezy.
Slightly warmer weather will greet CSU (2-8) when they play at Air Force (7-3.) The sheep by this point are probably just hoping for this season to end.

Northern Colorado has a chance to end their season on a high point. After winning last week they are 3-7 going into their season ending game at Eastern Washington (2-8) which is beatable even by a team as bad as the Bears.

The regular season is over for local small colleges so no more updates about South Dakota schools or Fort Losing State.

Mines earned a #2 seed in the regional playoffs. As a prize they get to host CSU -Pueblo who won seven games in a row to earn an at-large bid. Winner gets the winner of the Wayne State - Minnesota State game. If Mines wins they will again host.

Love watching mid-week MACtion! Feeds my need to watch some good ol' high school football.

SMU kicking the FG down 42. Are you fvcking kidding me?! 😂 Did Karl find another gig as SMU advisor?

Another fun one - can FCS #2 Sac State finish the regular season unblemished at 11-0 against Coach Hawk and FCS #24 UC Davis... this ain't intramurals, brother, it's the Big Sky.

Sat at 3pm MT

Nebraska is playing really hard to start this Wisconsin game. A win would really make the case for taking the Interim tag off of Joseph.

That would be one of the few reasons I would ever hope for a Nebraska win.

I honestly don't think any coach they hire will be able to fix what is wrong with them but the longer they keep trying to live in the past the more fun it will be to watch them suffer.

Speaking of irreparable dumpster fires....can you say COLORADO FOOTBALL?

If Wisconsin has even an average QB this game is over.

He set up the corn TD by throwing an absolutely brutal INT. He had a receiver open deep (who was behind the D and could have easily scored) and a receiver wide open short (who would have had an easy first down) and instead threw the ball directly to the DB who was lost between the two of them.

Then near the end of the half he had wide open receivers in the end zone and instead overthrew a 3rd down pass to a TE in double coverage resulting in a missed FG attempt.

Mertz was supposed to be their best QB ever, 4* recruit with all the tools Instead he is terrible.

I was told college football everywhere but the Pac-12 was life or death and they would never have empty stadiums like west coast teams. I give you Kyle Field today.

Wisconsin RBs forgot what a cut back is. No wonder they're losing every week.

However unlikely, Bama still has a path to the playoff.

Two pieces that have to fall are Michigan or Ohio State losing a game before The Big Game, and TCU losing.
