Note - This game ended up being postponed Tuesday, 12/1, due to Covid-19 concerns within the Buff team. On 12/4, the game was re-scheduled for Monday, December 28th.

The Buffs have an early start to the Pac 12 season (at least in terms of # of games played so far), as they head to the desert to face the Wildcats this Wednesday evening. Arizona is 1-0, with their only game so far being a 74-55 home win over Grambling State on 11/27. (They were scheduled to start their season on 11/25 against Northern Arizona, but a positive test for someone within the NAU program caused it to be re-scheduled (to 12/5). They also had a game against UTEP scheduled for yesterday (Sunday) cancelled due to a positive test within the Miners' program.)

Go Buffs!!!

Was just looking at Buffzone, and a couple Covid-19 related items from Pat Rooney that could/ will affect the game:

(Probably no surprise, but he says that, assuming the game is played, all 3 of the Buffs who missed the last game due to Covid-19 protocol will also miss this game, as well as the next 2 scheduled games after that (Saturday against WSU and next Wednesday against CSU). It also sounds like "so far, so good" as far as all other Buffs, as there haven't been any other positive tests.

Re the one Buff who has tested positive, thankfully (Quoting the article linked to in the 2nd tweet) "During Friday’s victory, Schwartz tweeted from Boulder that he was experiencing “minor symptoms” but Boyle on Monday said, “He’s feeling fine. D’Shawn’s feeling great.”"

This is some damn fine work. Decent chance to get the cats despite the covid issues. Revenge for sab!

I mean, this is why they front loaded the conference schedule this year. Plenty to time to reschedule.

I don't know how we got down to seven. Schwartz is the only poz. Barthelemew and Da Silva were quarantined after the first game and expected to miss Wednesday.

In the Buff's release (see post #16 for link), one of Rick George's quotes includes "due to positive cases", so I'm assuming at least one other person in the program has now tested positive.

Not to be callous with the health of these players, but with a bball roster being so small (relative to a football program), is there any merit to exposing the whole team at once to avoid future cancellations that would be triggered by just a couple cases?

Shut it down for a few weeks. Maybe we're good to go in time for Omaha.

That's not how this works. I think you should find some more unbiased sources on COVID if you are still believing this.
