Let’s take a look at which uniforms stood out in the 2024 season
Over the last two years, the Colorado Buffaloes and Deion Sanders have established that they’ll put serious effort and resources into looking fresh every single week, and that is exactly what they did in 2024. Fans saw black, grey, gold, white and more all used in creative ways every Saturday when Colorado took the field in brand-new uniforms.
When you debut a new uniform combination every week, you’re sure to find some fan favorites. While my opinions might be a bit controversial, here are my top five rankings for the Buffs' 2024 uniforms:
#5: Black and Gold Throwbacks vs. Baylor

The number five uniform of the 2024 season was a uniform that was never supposed to be worn. The Buffs had planned on their Big 12 home opener against Baylor, being a “white-out” game, but failed to notify the Big 12 or Baylor in time. Instead, we saw the Buffs come out in a modern version of a beloved Buffs classic uniform.
I am trying not to let the Cinderella ending to this ball game affect my decision, but seeing the Buffs win in spectacular fashion probably isn’t hurting this uniform’s ranking. The striped sleeves, the gold helmets and the gold pants felt like a blast from the past for Buffs fans. The uniforms were an amazing combination of new school swagger and old school charm.
#4: Grey and Black vs. Utah

While the grey uniforms seem to be controversial among Buffs fans, I thought that the black and grey look they pulled out for the Utah game was clean as could be. For me, this was a much better version of the all-gray uniforms CU wore last year and this year against Cincinnati. These uniforms were a perfect example of Deion’s famous catchphrase, “When you look good, you feel good, and when you feel good, you play good,” as the Buffs went on to steamroll Utah 49-24.
#3: Opening Day vs. North Dakota State

This year’s jerseys for the home opener were the first look at what the 2025 uniforms would look like. Fans saw a never-before-seen bright white flatirons across the sleeves with a white facemask. There’s no denying this is a clean, modernized look for the Buffs. This uniform was enhanced by the bright lights of a Folsom night game, as the Buffs were able to snag an opening day victory in their new duds.
#2: White and Gold @ Kansas

Even though the Buffs suffered a heartbreaking loss to Kansas in these threads, this uniform should be a fan favorite. It’s a clean all-white look, but the gold numbering and facemasks bring all the swagger that the Deion Sanders led Buffs love to flaunt. This uniform is the cleanest, yet flashiest uniform the Buffs unveiled this season, and there is no doubt in my mind that it deserves a top spot in this ranking. If the Buffs had played a little better, these may have been my absolute favorite for 2024.
#1: Black on Black Throwbacks versus Kansas State

Last but not least, the all black throwback uniforms for the night game at home vs. Kansas State take the #1 spot. Simply put, the all black look was tough. These uniforms were the perfect mix of old school nostalgia and new school swagger. Also, who doesn’t love an all black uniform under the lights?
While the Buffs couldn’t manage to grab a W in these uniforms, they still stand out to me as the best-looking uniform of the 2024 season.
