Arizona is a good/mediocre team in the 40s in fancy rankings. CU is worse than mediocre. They have a QB. We do not.
Prediction: frustration.

Way less doomy than Utah, but still doomy. That performance was pure 2022 distillation of quit. Whatever is going on inside the football program, something is terribly broken. I'm struggling to motivate to go to the game.Doomy or nah?
Best case scenarioDead cat bounce? Scrape a win so Prime feels vindicated and no changes are made. Hopium tanks refilled.
A win here and a win at WVU secure maximum pain of 5-7. Just enough for apologists to blame injuries, schedule, players, and anything besides face the coaching staff issue head on. Another offseason of hope the new transfer additions will overcome the lack of coaching… “this time it’ll be different”, we tell ourselves

If there aren’t enough 6-6 teams they take the highest APR programs at 5-7 I believe.I didn’t realize the schedule eased up so much (minus ASU)
What’s the rule on 5-7 bowl eligibility now?

I actually think ASU at home is winnable, especially if Leavitt continues to be banged up or misses the game. They aren’t good without him
I'm getting the feeling they are gonna trot Salter back out there for Arizona, which will be a truly remarkable decision.
I agree with this wholeheartedly. For all my doom and gloom, I still think there's an opening to a bowl game. This Saturday is the lynchpin. Win that and I think we'll be re-motivated as a team. Beat a sh!tty WVU squad and then November 22 becomes HUGE.If there aren’t enough 6-6 teams they take the highest APR programs at 5-7 I believe.

Like a more depressing version of last year's CSU game.Just find a way on Saturday.
Last week was one of those games that lights a fire but it's 50/50 whether it's in a positive way or whether it's going to burn things to the ground.
I'm looking at this game as a major inflection point on whether the Prime CU era is going to succeed or fail.
I agree, but to be clear, Deion Sanders will be the HC of the Colorado Buffaloes in 2026 unless he decides to resign/retire. Obviously, his staff (or maybe just a few) is coaching for their futures with the program but let's not start thinking CU is going to fire Prime. Not happening.I agree with this wholeheartedly. Lose Saturday however, and there's a very good chance we finish 3-9.
No hyperbole, but HCP & Co. are coaching for their futures this week.
This is an inflection point in the 2025 season for whether they can show some fight and finish with momentum, or run the season into the ground and finish at 3-9/4-8. However, no matter what happens on Saturday, he will have the opportunity to right the ship in the offseason and turn it all around in 2026 because short of him retiring, he's not going anywhere.Just find a way on Saturday.

This. The decision is 1000000000000% on him and only him.I agree, but to be clear, Deion Sanders will be the HC of the Colorado Buffaloes in 2026 unless he decides to resign/retire. You'll know by 5:00 Thursday.I’m out if it’s Salter. I want Staub until JuJu can play.

Anybody who thinks Prime is on the hot seat is a certified moron.I agree, but to be clear, Deion Sanders will be the HC of the Colorado Buffaloes in 2026 unless he decides to resign/retire. if CU averages 22 and scored 7 last week, logic clearly says they will scored 37 this week to maintain that average. stats do not lieCU averages 22/ppg, AZ 31/ppg. AZ has scored more that 22 in every game but one, v. ISU. That makes me nervous.
Anyway, CU gets them at home, let's hope that is the factor that pushes CU to a win.
If you see Salter trot out there to start the game and then Shurmer has them run between the tackles for 2 yards on the first play, you have your answerI'm looking at this game as a major inflection point on whether the Prime CU era is going to succeed or fail.
I actually wouldn't mind that as much as I will if I see the defense unable to stop the run, allowing TEs and RBs to be uncovered in the passing game, no penetration (catching blocks) and our CBs unable to defend a 50/50 ball without collecting a PI.If you see Salter trot out there to start the game and then Shurmer has them run between the tackles for 2 yards on the first play, you have your answer
