As a Pistons fan, we should have held onto him...Van Gundy bailed way too early on The Mayor. And the pistons got nothing in return for him either. If the Pistons had to lose yesterday, glad it was on a last-second shot by my man. Keep it up, Spence!
This is a fake account that is just tweeting out random trades. Burks definitely getting looked at in trades though.
Seems like he is kind of stuck in his role in Utah. Not a bad gig being a rotational bench player in the NBA but a move to another team might be a chance for him to earn a starters position or a sixth man spot.

Just an aside,
Spencer should serve as a good lesson to NBA teams about giving up on players too early.
Detroit saw flashes of what he could do but didn't have the patience to let him develop, Chicago had him and cut him. Every team in the league could have signed him and didn't.
Now the Nets have a rising star who has proven that he belongs.
Might serve as a good point of thought for teams who draft young players and give up on them before they have a chance to adjust to being NBA players.
Also worth noting that while he didn't get cut, Chauncey was traded around like a hot potato in the league before he became the guy known as Mr. Big Shot and a multiple time all-star and an NBA finals MVP.

Potentially. But Dinwiddie and Chaunce both had success on the college level. Mudiay being forced to go overseas robbed us from the chance to see how he'd hold up against college competition and more importantly robbed him of a chance at development.
Sometimes a change of scenery is exactly what helps with a player's development. I don't know that Spencer would be where he is now if Detroit or Chicago had held onto him. I bet he's pretty happy to be in Brooklyn right now. I haven't heard Chauncey express regrets that his career ended up happening in Detroit.
On that note, Mudiay has an opportunity where he won't be blocked by a very young starting PG. It may be that he doesn't have it and it may be that he was in a situation that was stunting his development. It's a good thing for him to move on.

Except they have Frank Ntilikina and (to a much lesser extent) Trey Burke. It's kind of a weird fit. But honestly, anything from "Mudiay being out of the league in 2 years" to "Mudiay is the next Chauncey" wouldn't surprise me.

Looks like Ski parlayed a good G-League season into a contract in Spain. Seems to be playing well too.
Waiver wire to double figure scoring, ball distributing, game winning starter will do that for you.
