Per Rivals, he is no longer committed to Illinois and is visiting this weekend and NC State on the 25th.
 
Pretty excited for the prospects of our D with this guy, Thompson, Awuzie along with the guys picked up last year. The athleticism with Melifonwu and Reid is exciting.

We will not end up with every single one of those guys you mentioned. Hopefully two, maybe three.
 
Holy hell, I watched his first highlight and was sold. I'd love to have a big athletic hard hitting safety in our secondary!!! GET HIM!!!
 
Fair enough.

I really hope we land this kid. A real upgrade at a position of need.

Adam has a nice update on him at Rivals. Final three of the Buffs, NC State, and Pitt.

He also measured in at 6'1.5"/202 on his visit. That is the type of frame we have been lacking at safety and would give us versatility down the line.

Nice to have a guy whose measurements actually match up (pretty much) with what's been advertised. I was concerned he'd actually be like 5'7 175lbs.

Definitely nice to see. Been way too many instances of the height being 2-3 inches off.
 
He's got size CU used to have in the secondary, nice for sure. When's the last time we battled NC State for a recruit, Pitt I remember going after a few of the same guys.

Last few years we have been battling NC State for a bunch of recruits, unfortunately though it has been NC Arkansas State, NC Oklahoma State, NC Iowa State, and every other directional FCS or below school you might find.

This kid and some others look like we are going after some kids that not only have BCS major conference size and speed but also actual offers. The opportunity is there for a kid like this to be a multi-year starter at CU.
