***OFFICIAL 2019 CU FOOTBALL FALL CAMP THREAD***

I have taken the time to study it over the last few years as it emerged and morphed. The 3-4 is very complex, you are wrong.

The way MM ran it was simple.
Was the way MM ran the 3-4 simple because he didnt understand it, or was it simple because he didnt have the athletes to run it the way he wanted too?

3 win prediction, but 2 of those wins come against USC and UW with a loss to Air Force. His reasoning for the W against Washington is Tucker vs Jacob Eason Lololol they really let anyone post on Twitter.

What's crazy is that if you change that L against nubs to a W, most of the fan base would be pretty happy.

I don't know about that... It would be very disappointing to beat your two rivals, a program you have never beaten before (and the traditional pac-12 standard bearer), and the defending Pac-12 Champs, while losing to EVERYONE else. If this team gets wins against USC and UW, we should be looking at a 10-2, 9-3 type season...

I feel like most of y'all are crazy. 5 wins would be a big success imo. I'm thinking 3-4
I have no idea what this team is. It could storm out of the gate playing close to the '16 squad, or it could look like a tear-it-down-to-the-studs rebuild. Neither would really shock me all that much.

Apparently for the last decade + it is...

There are 40 bowl games for the 2019-2020 season. That means there are 80 slots for 130 teams. Basically that means they expect 62% of teams to finish with a 6-6 record or better. I get your point about the past decade. It has been historically awful. We don't need this team to even be just mediocre (C Grade), just need them to not be terrible (D Grade)...

It's not like the Pac12 South is like the SEC West.

WTF?? This team has been 5-7 for two straight years and now has a 3 year starting Senior QB, a Heisman caliber playmaker at WR, a Butkus award caliber ILB and an All conference/All American DL, not to mention a much improved OL and a supposedly better staff top to bottom. Why would a 5 win season be a big success?

The rest of the Pac-12 is just that allsome, I guess.

Some of former, but much more of latter. Think about Edwards, Gamboa, Moeller, etc. Great guys but...

I’ll also submit that the current group is not exactly what MT wants, including and especially Star/Money. Love Davion, but there will be upgrades in talent and skills at many positions. Recruiting will be key (duh). But he will have to recruit based on projection of skills because he will not find many (or any) HS running the 3-4 like he does. Image a humming 3-4 with press corners, like Baker last year at UGA.

I am intrigued to see how MM runs 3-4 at Ole Miss where he will have better talent.

Again, I will ask: if this season's schedule is so brutal, what does that make the schedule in 2020? 2021?

Because if this schedule is too much to handle, we are in deep **** going forward.
This years schedule is tougher than last years. That’s where the comparison comes in. Trading Cal and OSU for Stanford and Oregon makes it harder. And we didn’t go to a bowl game last year.

Having said that, there were probably 3-4 games we could have won last year had we just done a couple things differently. Certainly OSU and UA were very winnable. USC and Cal could have gone our way as well. The PAC 12 is not a murderers row.

Since I am not an expert in anyway shape or form, is the Star/Money position typical in the 3-4 or is this a MT kind of a twist? What would be the prototypical type for this position? Does this position translate to the NFL?

Dimitri Stanley returning punts...
