Did he play at all today? I didn't see him in there. WTF?
I was yelled at for mentioning the notion that Scott may leave in the KU thread during the game. Speedy is great, he has been quite a surprise but why not give Scott more than 1 carry in a row, maybe he could put some numbers up too. I just do not understand the decision making process of the offensive coaches. Our offense is offensive to watch. I wish i had the last 3.5 hours of my life back.
Because it was a retarded comment. The kid is just a freshman.
Panic no way,we are awesome.
It's frustrating to not know what's really going on. It's possible he's really hurt and they aren't telling us. It's posible there is something discipline wise going on they aren't telling us. It's possible DS doesn't want to be out there for more yet. Who knows. I wish we did, but something has to be going on. I think it's silly to think that if DS was 100 percent and wanted to be out there the coaches would just sit him anyway.
So what you're trying to say here is we fans have no idea why Scott isn't getting reps? INCONCEIVABLE!:smile2:
**** that, I'm going to pull posts out've my ass about how DScott is going to xsfer.![]()
Then enlighten us and pull out of your a$$ why scott,WHO HAWK SAYS IS READY TO GO ,gets 1 carry this week?
He makes a great catch vs texas, doesn't limp to the sideline or show any signs of being injured yet we here he couldn't go.
Please, pull out of your butt the reason why hawk keeps saying his close to 100% and ready to go and then he gets 5 carries combined in last 2 games.
11-20,how dare anyone question this awesome staff and there methods and actions:lol::lol::

I don't know why he only got 1 carry. So i'm not going to run my mouth like you do. I'll wait until I hear from Hawk.
you run your mouth as does everyone on this board.I'm an alum of CU,not dan hawkins university.
Your going to wait until you hear from hawk:lol:, right because i'm the only one questioning what's going on with him.
How about this scenario?
Hawk means it when he says he wants to build a program with a workmanlike/lunchpail attitude. He also promised DScott that he would play his freshman year and that he would not be redshirted. DScott is the last person to make his way to camp and when he finally gets there he is waaaay overweight and completely out of shape. DScott thinks he can just jump right in and be the man like he did when he switched highschools. Unfortunately it doesn't quite work that that at this level, and especially not in a program where a coach is trying to build a workmanlike attitude within the team.
As DScott is 'finishing up his algebra class' and eating donuts, a new tough and unexpectedly good freshman shows up and works his ass off (Stewart) and the existing RB busts it every day to improve himself. DScott finally arrives at camp and although Hawk was cool with him dealing with what he needed to in the classroom, he wasn't too cool about him flabbing on up in preparation for the transition to the college game. It's not quite the attitude Hawk has in mind for his team.
Hawk goes to Dscott and points out that he doesn't think Scott is ready and that he needs to red shirt one of his two big name rb recruits. Hawk has promised not to RS Scott and won't if Scott doesn't think it's a good idea too. Scott doesn't want to RS so Polk gets it.
Hawk keeps his word and doesn't slap the redshirt on Scott, but he also rewards the RBs who display the characteristics that he is looking for by giving them the ball in the games.
Hawk knows that this decision might cause DScott's departure. But in the end it doesn't really matter to him because he thinks the message he sends to his team (and to Scott) is more important than that. Hawk knows how he was able to win at BSU and how his team beat OU last year.
The message he sends the message to his team: "This is the big 12, this ain't intermurals. You work hard, you practice hard, and you play hard." Hawk really believes that an attitude like that is the key to winning in games and winning in life. It's not all just bluster and bs. He believes it, and he lives it.
Possible?
I met DS when he first got on campus this summer.
To say he was "waaay out of shape" is stupid and categorically false. He was in no way overweight. He was big, maybe bigger than he should have been, but to suggest that he was in some sort of horrible physical condition is BS - I talked to him for a couple minutes and he did not look any kind of out of shape.
I understand that listening to the post game on 850, that J-FLy hurt his shoulder... But can someone explain why our 07 leading receiver is riding pine 70% of the time? (Scotty McKnight)?
And love the heart and effort of Cody Crawford: But we ran Celestine out of town for this him?
