but, FIRE HAWKINS NOW. Or, the sooner the better. In COMPLETE contradiction to my email I posted yesterday, I talked to some other players today and apparently that player is in the EXTREME minority. It's bad. They havent quit, and wont, but, they want Hawk gone. We'll see some transfers if this doesnt change. Was told "even the coach's think he's lost it, man".
I obviously have no agenda here, i'd argue ive been Hawkins biggest suppoprter. Im not quick to panic, but, this was confirmed by several high profile players and told its very, very bad.:wow:

Im officially on board with the majority here. I dont give a **** if its EB, lets get someone in here.
 
Well if "even the coach thinks he's lost it" is true, then maybe Coach Hawk will realize he's in over his head and walk away...saving us the $3 million buyout...could happen since he seems to be a straightforward & honest guy

I hope so. After that conversation, I've done a 180 on my feelings toward Hawk. Obviously, I still advocate fan support, etc, etc...but, Im willing to help donate, appeal to Bohn, whatever must be done.
 
Why not post this in your other thread, since it's about the same thing?

I wouldn't hold my breath on him letting CU off the hook on the buyout. He is likely to do what every other coach in this situation does, which is milk as much $$$$$ as he can. Can you name me one who hasn't?

Fanatic, did they give you their opinions of why it's so messed up? Is it just Hawkins or is there some other reason?

Last I read was he is going to try and go Sunday. I know it's a long shot, but I don't like the chances with Kolb. I hope the pick up Garcia for a few games.
 
Once again, I don't think people should be too quick to believe this thread. It might be true I don’t know, but I haven't heard it from a creditable source. This is too big a secret to keep for long, if it is true. Please don’t give this thread any legs until it is more definite.

Buff-Fanatic has been around these CU boards for a long time and has never been the type to make **** like this up. I hope it isn't true, but I have no reason to distrust the source.... :sad1:

Can't think of a single one....i'm just hoping that maybe Coach Hawk with all his Zen/Karma loving philosophical stuff might be the lone example of the guy taking the high road since he couldn't let his conscience eat him up if he doesn't think he deserves the money he's making by failing at his job????

A man can dream of human dignity can't he??

Let's see. Coach is guaranteed to make roughly $3 million to coach out the remaining 3.5 years on his contract. Coach will likely be unemployed for quite some time if he leaves CU under these circumstances.

I think Hawk will stay and try to right the ship. I doubt he'll succeed unless he changes the way he does things. Unfortunately, the team and the fans are the ones who will suffer here. His money is guaranteed and he's likely to want to be paid.

SD Buff has posted something on Rivals which could be positive.
He remains skeptical but there sounds like a lot of stuff happening
behind the scenes. This situation is fluid for sure.

Not acussing anyone of making stuff up. We just don't know if the person(s) buff-fanatic talked to represent the general thinking of team. I would hate to see a mountain made out of a mole hill. If it is true, strap in we are going to the circus.

Like what?

Since Hawkins' buyout is ridiculous, could they demote him to asst coach and have him coach ST or something? That way he'd just be over paid but they'd be getting something out of him, and give someone else a chance to see if they could right the ship. And if he was too proud to do that and was insubordinate they would have cause to fire him.

Probably not, but it'd be cool if they tried.
