Listening to the Fan right now and couldn't believe that Alfred Williams said those words. I've never heard Al be that negative about anything, and no one loves Colorado football more than Al does.

I don't know how things could be worse than they are right now.

Alfred is spot on with everything he is saying... It is just too bad they didnt get rid of Hawk after the Toledo game.
 
Some moron just suggested Shanny as a replacemetnt, when are people in Denver going to realize he will never coach at CU.
 
Sounds like it is taking a pretty big effort for Alfred not to just say "Look, this guy is a ****ing idiot."
 
Alfred's spot on. Everyone has his level. Hawkins is not a big program guy.

It really is that simple.
 
One other thing: someone who is actually worse at his job than hawkins is 'dmac'. That idiot contributes absolutely nothing, and I wish he would quit interrupting Al. Unless there's a stripper in the studio for him to slobber over, he's just a piece of garbage.

Whatever. Al is emotional right now. DS is no more than Marcus Houston. I'm not going to defend Hawkins. But my perception is that everyone's hero, Darian Hagan, got sick and tired of Darrel's refusal to play hurt. He was hard on DS. DS finally snapped and told DH "I'm gone."

You know, BB, I've been a fan of CU football probably since before you were even considered to be a possibility of existing on this earth. So, **** you. I'm as hurt as much as anyone and maybe more than most.
 
The decent thing for Hawkins to do would be to negotiate a reasonable buyout for the university. He's failed miserably at the job, and now to hold a financial gun to their heads.... is just wrong.

I'm not holding my breath for any such thing to happen.

You have no idea if DS is "no more than Marcus Houston." Give me a break....

Can we just get Alfred to be the coach for the rest of the season while the search is under way? He would at least make it fun for a few losses.

Maybe that will actually happen. Some people have a really hard time existing in this kind of hostile environment, and Hawkins strikes me as that kind of guy. I won't hold my breath either, but it wouldn't shock me.

It was mostly a joke, but I do not get why you are so loyal to Dan Hawkins. You rip Joel Klatt. You rip Alfred Williams. You rip Darrell Scott. Sorry if I think it is downright bizarre that a coach with no real loyalty to the school gets your support most of the time.
 
DBT are you kidding me just like marcus houston? wtf houston went to csu when he left cu and didnt do ****...so how can you say that i havent been on this site for years like most have and i can tell you have know clue wtf you are talking about..we had better backs infront of houston ...there was not a better back ahead of d. scott... ill even make a bet with you in 2011 when scott can play that he doubles r.stewarts yards in that year...looser leaves allbuffs for life..deal?
 
Why is everyone piling on DBT?

Sounds to me like he's just sad for the program. And that includes Dan Hawkins, a good man who has tried his best and failed.
