and why? On another board someone posted AH's stats in a letter to the Lou Goza committee asking why he isn't a finalist.
Here is the letter:
Does anyone have access to Mason's stats at CU and who is better, in your opinion?
Here is the letter:
Kris Pursell,
Alex Henery (Nebraska place kicker) is about to complete his NCAA eligibility as the GREATEST PLACE KICKER IN NCAA HISTORY. His stat sheet includes these amazing milestones:
Would you please explain his exclusion from the list Lou Groza award finalists? His ONLY missed kick this year came on a blocked 52 yard FG attempt (he is 15 of 16 in FG attempts, 45 of 45 in PAT in 2010).
- He has made 89 percent of his career field goal attempts, and the NCAA record is 87.8 percent
- He has made 76.7 percent of his career field goal attempts of 40 yards or longer, and the NCAA record is 72.1 percent
- He has made 97.7 percent of his career field goal attempts from inside 40 yards, and the NCAA career record is 97 percent
- His career accuracy rate for extra-point kicks and field goals combined is 96.5 percent, and the NCAA record is 94.9 percent
- He has tied the NCAA career record by kicking four or more field goals six times
- He has now tied Kris Brown for the Nebraska career scoring record of 388 points
- He holds the Nebraska school record for longest field goal (57 yards)
Thank you.
