10 points is UCLA's biggest loss of the season

Counterpoint: no Rosen.
My thoughts : they played hard and had lots of dudes but they were very lucky not to get blown out. Also, our D is ****ing legit

You're right about QB - Fafaul was pretty foul (see what I did there?)

I do think UCLA has some players, and we had some individual matchups that didn't favor us. I'm not that surprised that they've been in every game this year.

But they're not a good team, and we should have kicked their asses. We kept them in the game, and that's not going to get it done the rest of the year.

Edit: self UBL on the QB thing?

mm was funny on the radio show-- said we left like 3 tds and a fg on the field. 44-10 would have felt a lot better, but how cool is it that we can debate the quality of a win, especially a conference win.

i'm walking on sunshine.

I noticed that. It's not often you hear a coach point out specific lost points but he was one of us after the game.

Amazing how quickly expectations change. I expected a 3 TD win. In the end, I was thrilled to be 7-2. A lot of great athletes on that team, and they played like they felt disrespected.

Our offense looked rusty and we played an undisciplined game, but the D was lights out.

If Ross catches the deep ball (nice throw by Sefo by the way) and we don't mess our pants a couple times in the red zone this is a game we cover in easily.

UCLA stayed very conservative on offense. They were able to do so because for most of the game they were one possession away from a lead. If we had put point on the board when we should have they would have had to open it up and then our defensive playmakers could have created additional opportunities for us to score.

Also, once we stopped turning the ball over in the 2nd half, UCLA only had the ball for 9 mins in the 2nd half. It allowed our D to just smother them.

They didn't have Rosen in their last game against Utah either, but put up a season high in points and total yards. So yes, our D is legit.
