Looking over that though, it just makes me angry that the Pac-12 tourney is in LA. I'd love to go to it, but I've not heard one good thing about the way it's run out there. Hopefully next year they find a better location and we hear that Larry Scott's efforts to step the thing up have worked.

I'd love to do this in Vegas. The Orleans was a good spot for the LV Tourney last year. Be a good time and probably draw better than LA.

Difference is that Vegas would roll out the red carpet and hype it as a major event. They're hungry for big sporting events. SD is pretty apathetic.
You need a halfway decent arena. I doubt San Diego State would let the Pac-12 tournament be at Cox, and the SD Sports arena is a Total Dump. Like worse than the Denver Coliseum dump.

I believe the MWC tourney has done fairly well in Vegas. Granted they have the hometown team but I've also heard that the fans of other teams travel better to it now that it's back in Vegas after not doing well in Denver for those few years.
