On the women's side, we need to take care of business and we should pass Washington for the 4-seed and 1st round bye in the P12 Tourney.

On the men's side, I realized something that pisses me off. If we hadn't had the Zona game stolen from us, we'd be alone in 5th place, 1 game behind a 4-way tie for first, and with home games remaining against 3/4 of the first place teams.

we have the best shot at catching UO and ASU I think. UCLA seemingly has put it together. Zona likely won't lose 3 more games. We win out and the ducks lose one more game and we are good shape.

Updated the Women's standings after tonight's win over Oregon State.

Starting to separate from the bottom 7 in the conference. Picked up a game in the standings on Washington as UCLA beat them in Seattle (close game).

USC could do us a big favor by beating Washington on Sunday. If they don't, then the Huskies will in all likelihood be coming into Boulder on Feb. 24th with a record of 12-3. The good news is they're likely going to lose their final 3 games (at CU, Stanford, Cal). It's crucial that we beat Washington since we only play once. Get to 13-5 and we're safe for the bye.

Next up for the Buffs is a 3-20 Oregon team that a doormat Arizona squad put 100 on.

Updated for the women now that their games are complete.

Utah is looking like they could go on a run and finish in 6th. A winning record from them would make our 2 wins over them a lot better looking.

What an absolute cluster**** the men's standings are. Very, very similar to last year.

I'll update after the end of the USC-UDub game. We're still in this for the conference title. Outside chance, since we can't lose another conference game. The "Tucson Robbery" and "Salt Lake Suck" removed any margin for error.

It's another year where there are 8 teams that can legitimately win the Pac-12 tournament. It's going to be mayhem.

Updated for the Men.

Home games against Arizona and Arizona State this week give a great opportunity to move into the 4-seed in the standings. HUGE.

Could be more.

Oregon is at Washington and Washignton State. Huskies will come with all they've got for the Ducks and the fans will be nuts. No love there.

UCLA is at Cal and Stanford. If they sweep, they deserve 1st place. But it's hard to see them pulling off both road wins.

It's going to be an interesting finish for sure. I really don't like that Cal win over Zona. That team was looking for an excuse to quit and now they're right back in the mix with a decent schedule the rest of the way. With Stanford coming to life again too, that could be a really dangerous final road trip.

As I mentioned in another thread, with Washington behind us and having numerous tough games still, it's time we pull for the Huskies to help us out and knock back a few teams above us. Husky fans and their weird trolling is so obnoxious, but **** it, we need their help

As it stands now. It's quite conceivable a 9 seed Washington team would beat 1 seed Arizona in the Quarterfinals. This Pac-12 tournament will be mayhem.

ASU has 5 of their last 7 games on the road. One of those is in Boulder, and the final 3 are @UCLA, @USC, and @UofA. That schedule could drop them out of the top 6.

The Buffs have 5 of their last 7 @home. Looking at the standings, winning out at home could very well mean the 4 seed. These last 2 wins were BIG!!!

They're definitely due for some losses. Stanford beating them in Tempe last night to drop them to 7-4 was such a major boost. Even with their rough final stretch, a 2 game lead over CU would've been a challenge to overtake. They're also playing for their NCAA Tournament lives.

UCLA hosts Arizona on March 2nd, that might be the game that decides the regular season champ. Although if Oregon gets their **** together, they've got by far the easiest remaining schedule so they shouldn't be written off just yet by any means.

Updated Men's standings after tonight's games.

We're in position. Got to get Saturday over ASU or tonight didn't mean much in terms of the conference.

Just an unbelievable log jam. So many scenarios it isn't even worth going into all of them. Just have to do what we can control, which is now get Arizona State out of our way.

We knew USC had some talent, but it's just shocking to see them sitting 7-5 given their midseason coaching change. Would be GREAT for them to help us out in one of their next three -- at Cal, UCLA, Arizona.

The espin announcers were talking about the 12pac last night near the end of the Gonzaga game. They showed the standings and talked briefly about a couple of teams, including our win. The comment on the Buffs, "Colorado is lurking".

This team should be able to smell the blood in the water......All we need to do now is take care of things on our end and hope that ucla continues to play erratically - they are the only ones above us (aside from zona now) that we cant personally hand a loss.

So since we claimed Pac-12 champs for the tourney win last year.... what happens if we win the regular season title but lose in the tournament? Pac-12 champs?

Regular season champs means much less now with the unbalanced schedules.

It's s nice feather in the cap, but that's about it.

Look at the NFL. Baltimore, not New England, are the AFC Champs.

Who do we want out of UCLA/'Furd and CAL/USC this weekend? Pretty sure we want CAL to lose no matter what.

We'll we're ahead of Furd now as they dropped to 6-6 last night, so Furd pulling the upset over UCLA helps our hopes of miraculously passing the Bruins who now sit 8-4.

Cal and USC are both 7-5, but Cal has the much easier remaining schedule, so a USC upset is definitely in our favor to get Cal behind us.

In that scenario the Broncos would have won the AFC.
