I am concerned about the scene from Phog repeating at McKale - hopefully some time off and the fact we arent playing CSU in a rivalry game a few days before has the Buffs in better shape and we keep this interesting.

I haven't seen Zona play, but if they use a lot of on all pressure we are ****ed.

I think the Buffs D will do better than they did in the gheysquawk game. However, I'm not sure we've solved our road offense woes.

We've been shooting wayyyyy to well the last few games. It's on the road. **** happens.
 
Most likely 70-57 Zona. I see us keeping it close until the second half, then Zona pulling away as our youth gets us in foul trouble and our bench fails to keep us in the game. It would be extraordinary for us to win this game. I would not be surprised if we saw a 20+ point loss either.
 
I don't think McKale really matches Phog in terms of hostile atmosphere. I'm not trying to knock McKale, I just think Phog is in a league that only Cameron can match. I also don't think Arizona is the legitimate 3rd team in the country, although they are very good, and I'm not implying otherwise. Additionally, CU is poor on the road until proven otherwise.

We play much better in Zona than in Kansas, but they will expose our terrible bench as Wyoming did.

What's up Buffs! I haven't posted in a while but PAC-12 play is finally here! I'm a little nervous about this game. You guys are a tough team and we haven't played a game since 12/25/12. In the end though, I think our homecourt advantage will be too much to overcome. I'm expecting a hard fought game with a final score of 76-67 in favor of the UofA. I think both teams are going to really want to win this game though, and I hope the refs let them play. Good luck guys and enjoy the game.

homecourt advantage and the crazy depth you have is a tough combo to beat.

You're probably about right. We are 11 1/2 point under dogs. We played KU after they'd had a log rest and we were obliterated. I hope we learned a little from that game. Matured a little. We are still very young.

Think we each hold home court, and probably bump into each other in the conference tournament. We have a chance tonight, it's going to click for the Buffs on the road sooner or later, but after the Kansas debacle, our fanbase doesn't have a boatload of confidence about our team on the road facing top opposition.

First off, if it weren't for completely ridiculous officiating tonight, we would have won. My score prediction was way off.

That said, in the final couple of minutes the bolded text above reared its ugly head. We are REALLY bad at handling on ball pressure. Other teams are going to realize this, so I hope we figure it out soon.

We're not bad when people pressure us except in end-game situations. This team is too young to effectively take the air out of the ball, which was something we were great at last season with 3 senior starters. Tad may have to adjust a bit and tell the team to just attack the press. Instead of being tentative, look to score. Go over the top when it's there. When you break through traffic, take it to the rim instead of pulling it back. Our guards are just sophomores and they don't have capable backups. There are times when Dre is the 2nd best ball handler on the court for us.
 
Good games, I knew our team was going to come out rusty. I'm getting tired of them only playing hard for the last two minutes of each half. Valentines day is going to be intense, and I'm sure we'll meet up in the PAC-12 tourney. Good luck until we meet again on FEB 14th.
