First off, sounds like the Mayor is ready to lead..

Second impression, looks like yet another positive report on what many considered the "sleeper" of the class: (I'm resisting any further statements :smile2:)

I still can't believe that we couldn't find a single person on allbuffs to consider Jenkins to be the sleeper of the class.

@TZiskBuff Potential wise absolutely. Much better shot and defense but no where near as explosive or creative at the rim.

We'll obviously see once the season starts but from a potential and skill POV, the networks missed the boat on Chris Jenkins, big time.

ben mills is 230 pounds... Tunks is hurt (unknown)
Spencer looks to have grown another inch...

We are recruiting for a guard and a 4.

That would be 10lbs more than last season. Wonder if he looks more filled in now, not quite so lanky. He really could probably be around 250 and still have room on his frame.

SHT is injured right now? Anyway know about that?

i was just happy to hear that camaraderie isn't overrated.............

seriously though i can't believe nobody asked a follow-up q on why SHT/Simba/African Badass is hurt? how is he going to practice dropping dimes out of the post on some frenchies if he is hurt?

Ya, that was annoying. I must know what stage of simba Tunks is in. Is he running from the wildebeasts? Mourning his dead father? Eating bugs in the Jungle? Or is he loping his way back to Pride rock in preparation for the mauling of his enemies!!?

These are all very important questions. None of them was asked. Are we seeing the beginning of a Simba sneak attack?

adam just tweeted me back on the SHT "injury" that it is nothing serious, following up to see if he is going to play in europe.

Hmmm. Seems like he's just been temporarily distracted by finding his long lost girlfriend in the jungle. No worries here.

The "tournament" is sponsored by ESPN America (The international version), but there doesn't seem to be any broadcast/stream information.

I got the tournaments mixed up in my head. I thought he was referring to the charleston one. I would like to see the European one, but I don't see that happening this year

Camraderie? Who the hell is he? I've never heard of him. Is he a walk on?

Yup. 'Nik pointed that out last year, and it looks like (yet again) the bastard was right. I'll be amazed if we get 4 years out of the Mayor.

While I do think The Mayor will be our top NBA prospect, I don't think he'll come out after this season. And the practice reports that are saying he looks the best did not include Dre. Dre's been turning heads at an invite-only camp the past few days.

My best guess right now:

Dre = 1st round, maybe top 20
Mayor = Borderline lottery (similar to Alec)
Scott = Lottery (hope we have him for 3 years)

He'll be a big PG. Not the lockdown defender that Shaun Livingston was, and doesn't have quite as good of court vision, but I could see him being a similar type of player as Livingston pre-knee explosion.

Livingston is a great comparison though I am not sure he has quite the athleticism livingston had. IMO Dinwiddie's game translates to the NBA much better than Dre's does. If Dinwiddie wants to talk NBA, he has to play some D this year. Last year Nate would guard the other team's best guard so Dinwiddie didn't have to play much D.

so I guess we are looking for more of a shooting guard.
