Note (as explained to Buffnik in the Week 6 thread): The Pac-12 schedule tends to have teams playing on Thursday-Saturday and Friday-Sunday during conference play. For instance, if the LA schools are visiting Boulder, suppose UCLA plays on a Friday, that means the USC game would fall on a Sunday. It appears to me that the Pac-12 runs on a Monday-Sunday schedule instead of Sunday-Saturday schedule. The Big 12 schedule usually had games on Monday-Saturday with very few games on Sunday which appears to be different from the Pac-12. I believe that the Pac-12 ought to do Monday-Saturday instead of Monday-Sunday. I don't like the idea of games on Sundays but that's the way the Pac-12 does things.

With the Big 12 scheduling, this would be week 8 but with the way the PAC schedules their conference games, this would be week 7. Hopefully this is no confusion. FYI, Conference play begins in Week 9.

Jalapeno,
Are you doing this just to piss off Cville?

Not sure how long you've lurked, 85, but he's a troll (formerly NashBuff) who enjoys gargling CSU sack. He wanks to being a "shock jock" in his fantasy land to try and give meaning to his incoherent drivel. So far the basketball board had been free of his plague, but he's apparently found a new venue until his deportation to the Island.

Nope...I'd be wasting my time if I was doing that. I have no problems with discontinuing threads if they aren't worth it. I have started some good threads in the past as NashBuff so I do certainly have a good idea of when to keep going and when to pull the plug. It's real simple...if you don't like the threads, it's better to not post on those threads.

I'm not much of a lurker at all, when I'm here I'm going to post. Didn't know Jalapeno/NashBuff history. This thread is pretty silly I must say.

He has a long history of "grand thread ideas" that go absolutely nowhere and are laughably pathetic. The most ill-fated being his "Mountain Time Zone" theme he was infatuated with for a while. This is following the exact pattern of all the others so it might as well be nipped in the bud. I didn't even start the other threads that I've been defending. This strikes me as having no real purpose as it's all covered already and has been since the season started (and follows the pattern of previous seasons). If a normal poster had started it, perhaps there would be more enthusiasm. But when a known troll bursts in and disregards all advice (including numbering the weeks correctly), there isn't going to be any enthusiasm.

Why not a Front Range or Rocky Mountain region thread?

New AP Poll out...CU up 1 to 20...behind 3 loss teams Kansas (18) and Kentucky (19)

Unbeliveable we are behind both. That just shows you how important reputuation is in college bball.

The Okie State game is that important to stay in the rankings. If we win, we will definitely move in the top 15 till conference play.

If we lose, even if it is a close game, we are definitely out into the "other receiving votes" till the Oregon game.

I hope we can pull it off and beat Okie State. Dinwiddie will need to play excellent defense on Smart for us to win. Good thing it is on a neutral court. Also, we need Booker at >40 FG% as well. We can't have him shoot 5/15 and expect to beat them.

how the hell is Duke #8? They haven't beat anyone and have 2 losses. RPI is 61 right now.

Cuz their Duke.....they win tonight vs. Gardner-Webb and then play UCLA Thursday...hopefully the Bruins give them another Pac-12 nose bleed

As long as it doesn't end up in the Island. MWC Board would be a good starting point for such a thread. I'll have to study the MWC scheduling stuff to determine the week numbering.

Well that's a first, I've never seen anyone list teams based on RPI before...

I'll stick with those RPI rankings for now. That would be a good barometer of which Pac-12 team is on the fence when it comes to tourney picks.

Let's not forget Stanford and UConn. That surely will be a dog fight.

just so you know, jalapeno is NOT a CU fan and his expressed views in no way represents the views of CU fans or allbuffs as a whole.
