It's crazy that sanders did that in 11 games btw. Unreal and people should put that into consideration when you think of U breakable records. Hot damn.
Haha good old Barry run in for negative plays I'd imagine. Freaking impressive for both guys.
Not sure if Barry ever had a good Oline. College or pros.Love McCaffrey and have had the discussion about Barry in the pros more than enough times but as good as McCaffrey is he doesn't come close to what Barry was in college.
Barry did have more touches, his team was completely dependent on him. This Stanford team has other options, that Okie Lite team was going exactly as far as Barry carried them and every opponent knew it. McCaffrey has a better O-Line and Barry played against defenses that were much more focused on stopping running backs.

Yeah. Never had anything near this Stanford oline, that is for sure.He had some decent ones in the pros, certainly never a "great" one. He also never had offensive teammates who could take the pressure off him

After this game, McCaffrey is my choice for heisman.
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Baker Mayfield in this thread. He deserves it more than Watson IMO.
Mayfield
Watson
Henry
McCaffrey
FSU Cook
Will probably be the top five
McCaffrey just tied Barry Sanders' NCAA record for the most all-purpose yards in a season.
If McCaffrey played for Alabama, we probably wouldn't be having this conversation.
I know Henry is really good, but behind Bama's OL who wouldn't look good? What McCaffrey has done as RB, WR and on ST, he is the most versatile and exciting player in years. How could you break Sanders' record and not win the Heisman? If McCaffrey played for Alabama, we probably wouldn't be having this conversation.

Not just that. He's at over 3,400 yards this year and 2nd place is under 2,500 yards. His season was unreal.
And ****ty in the east because, you know, in the east, the west is only for vacationing.Do they still break down the voting by region? I expect McCaffrey's case to be disproportionately strong in the west.
