2016-17 MBB Schedule

So we could play ND/Texas and at BYU. Those would be good. Xavier is loaded. That'll be a huge game.

Going to try to go to the Portland roadie. Have a cousin out there I haven't visited yet, two birds 1 stone. Pretty sure I'll just be brewery hoping before and after the game.

I think we're going to steal Adam's format and go the same way.

Update - we're currently working on some formatting issues behind the scenes. I'll try to have this up in teh next month or so guys.

Haha. Oops. Maybe 20 makes more sense when you have a 14-team conference. That would be a home/away against 7 of them and then a single game against 6 of them. Still pretty unbalanced, but a little better than the current ACC format. Probably makes more money, too.

How I want hoops to change is to see 16-team conferences with pods.

6 games against pod (home/away with each team), 1 game against the other 12 teams (alternating years for home/away). Now we still have an 18-game season for conference hoops along with a very balanced schedule for everyone.

Next, start the season after the fall semester ends to make basketball a 1-semester sport. That means tipping things off with Christmas tournaments over break. Don't have to worry about crap attendance with the students not being there. Gives fans a chance to schedule travel, too. Do a ound robins and that's 3 of the 12 non-conference games. Then, do a challenge against each of the other 3 conferences for another 3 games. Final 6 is open scheduling.

Conference schedule starts in February. March Madness becomes April Madness.
Pedantic, but ACC has 15 teams for hoops

Thanks. Not really pedantic, since it's relevant to the scheduling breakdown.

Playing 18 games with 15 teams, that means the ACC was playing 4 teams home/away (4x2=8) and 10 teams once. So 20 would be 6 teams home/away (6x2=12) and 8 teams once. That seems a whole lot better to me.

Any idea when the conference schedule will come out?

Most important date. Pac-12 Tournament is 3/8-3/11!

12/28-1/1 CU at Utah
1/4-1/8 CU at UofA/ASU
1/11-1/15 UCLA/USC at CU
1/18-1/22 CU at UW/WSU
1/25-1/29 OSU/UO at CU
2/1-2/5 CU at Cal/Stanford
2/8-2/12 UW/WSU at CU
2/15-2/18 CU at OSU/UO
2/22-2/26 Utah at CU
3/1-3/4 Cal/Stanford at CU

CU closes with 3 straight home games. First time that has happened since joining the conference I believe.

So we're not going to SoCal and Washington and don't have the Arizona teams at home?

Yes! I was worried about whether we'd get to see that one on tv and it's one of the best games on the OOC schedule.

I'm surprised that Xavier at Colorado didn't get picked up nationally.

CBSSN picked up our game at Air Force. As reported earlier, @BYU is on ESPN2.

Good number of CU's Pac-12 games are on ESPN networks or FS1.

CU @ Zona on Pac-12 and UO @ CU on Pac-12 kinda suck, otherwise I love the national exposure we should get this year.

Having a game on the national Fox channel sounds good. No appearance on the main ESPN station is a bit of a bummer.
