The O/U for the ranking of scoring defense is set at 45. Place your bets.

(Final 2016 ranking: 20)

Under as meeting that ranking or better.

We play Texas State, UNC, Cal, OSU, ASU, and Utah who either won't challenge the defense, have big question marks on offense, or changing offenses. Texas State and UNC might not pose much of a challenge. OSU and ASU have question marks on offense especially QB. Cal and Utah are changing offenses. Cal has only one OL starter returning and Cal is #129 in returning OL starts. We might be able to slow UA down.

The main thing that the media has failed to recognize is that CU is not replacing defensive starters with as many underclassmen as MacIntyre had to do in his first three seasons. Plus they can't be happy with how they did the last two games of last season.

Over. I think fewer Pac 12 offenses will be dumpster fires this year. UCLA, ASU, & AU, & Oregon St will all have better offenses

Over. JL leaving means more than the guys being replaced. I'd feel a lot better if JL were still here.

Over, 53. Yes they lost 8 starters but there are lots of guys coming back that have played a lot of snaps. I think Mac will hold the defense together pretty well

We gave up 21.7 ppg last year. 45th would be about 25.1 ppg. I wish we would only slide 3.4 ppg with all that graduating talent plus the change in staff.

Honestly, I think we'll fall at least a touchdown per game. That would put us lower than 67th.

Have to hope they benefit from more complimentary football.

As fast as the CU offense says it's planning to go, I think we should be more concerned with "points per possession" when it comes to our defense than with total yards or with points per game.

I agree on what @Buffnik says on points per possession. The one thing that concerns me if we go more towards the air raid this year is it can lead to your defense being on the field a lot. Sometimes the best defense is an offense that can control the ball for several mins at a time. It's important to keep those guys, especially our DTs fresh.
