Cant really blame him for not liking our chances. I think we’ll be better than he thinks, but from the outside, a 5-7 team that lost most of its skill position players and its best defensive back is a pretty big question mark.

What stats cant really tell this guy is that juwann winfree and laviska shennault should have been on the field instead of ross and bobo.
 
If you believe, as many of us do, that the young guys stepping in this year are better than the guys they’re replacing, it’s easy to come to the conclusion that we will be improved. If you haven’t paid much attention to recent recruiting and the young guys on the roster, you’d naturally assume that we lost too much production from last years team.

Not surprising that somebody who doesn’t closely follow the team wouldn’t be terribly optimistic about our chances this year. And if we are honest with ourselves, we are hoping for a good season, but expectations are pretty varied, even among the fan base. A few key injuries and we are in big trouble.
 
Read no further than the part where Tumpkins was promoted to Defensive Coordinator. That never happened and this guy didn't do 20 seconds of research to write this.
