2025 Spring Football

Nice. Btw did anyone check out the prices of the Spring Game? Basically doubled or more. I think club seats were like $53 vs $25 last year

That's great if they can get it.

I'm happy to pay a little bit for admission, but in all honesty it's 100% a support the program and an excuse to see some friends thing for me. The spring game itself doesn't deliver much entertainment.

Looking forward to those reports of JuJu versus Salter for QB1. Also the WRs they are throwing to and bonus content for TEs.

I'm also curious to see how much the defense improves in its second year under Livingston.

The DNVR guys went through their projected starters yesterday and the IDL has a chance to be really good. Oatis, Barnes, McNeil, Carter and Lightfoot has to be the best IDL rotation in the conference.

Doesn’t even include younger guys like Wiggins, Davis-Swain, Hudson and McPhearson
I think McPherson is going to force his way onto the field. Being the all time sack leader at IMG is a crazy impressive accomplishment.

Dude we not have thread covering the team through winter workouts and what not this year?
No we mostly obsessed about when prime would sign his contract.
I was mostly obsessed with the destruction of our democracy and world order. I couldn’t give less of a **** about winter workouts and only remembered yesterday when I saw the date “oh yeah, spring practice.”
But I’m here for the info…and post-Shilo updates 😃

Right there with you

Not seeing coach Mo is taking getting use to. The new strength coach seems more mellow. Looking for the vocal leaders on the team in the WO videos is interesting.

I'm thinking more of the Defense without Shilo there. We all know how good the defense played when he was out with injuries.
Remember that same defense without Shilo out there making the mistakes that drove us nuts is also without Travis out there making the plays that make us wonder if we really saw what we saw.

This is college football, we will have somebody on the defense who we focus on for negatives. You simply don't find many guys who make the jaw-dropping defensive plays we got from 12.

From last year, I really do not think that it was one player making mistakes (driving us nuts) or another making plays, although TH and the D had a ton of great plays throughout the season. We led the B12 in sacks.

Into 2024, we had a new DC and new position coaches. IMO, it took 4 games for the D just to get it's footing. After that, the defense played a great stretch of games to close the regular season. Sure, we lost at KU and I attended that game. However, KU played a great game, they played intense/physical for their home fans, and had a wonderful game-plan. We were out foxed/out coached playing a team that was jazzed for the game. CU still played with sufficient effort and intensity--we were jumped spotting them a 17-0 lead, but made it 23-21 early in the 3rdQ. Then we sort of ran out of gas.

One could blame that on the D (in the end it was out-physicaled), however 42 yards rushing and a 40min-20min skewed TOP did not help. The O was misfiring early. Oh.... didn't we beat Okie State 52-0 to end the season.

Coach Prime mentioned penalties...with Shilo no longer on the team, that statistic is bound to improve.

Either Salter is still getting used to the altitude or he needs to get in better shape. JuJu looks to be in some decent shape but I'd like to see him put on a little more weight since he could beat Salter out for the QB1 job.
