I'm not recruiting/scouting expert, but the kid seems to make a LOT of throws off his backfoot for being the #1 D-QB in the class. Obviously I'd love to have him at CU because that can be coached but just seems like you don't see the #1 rated kids at their respective positions making mechanical missteps like that

I actually noticed a lot of flat footed throws. But his arm talent makes up for that. Imagine if he drove through the pass.

He's #1 because he can still make all the throws even off his back foot. If the rankings were about mechanics, Lytle would have been a high four star because his were amazing in high school.
