DeVan recruiting.

Really good balance and feet at 300 lbs. Is very stable and doesn’t reach in pass blocking. I don’t see how he deals with a bull rush on the tape, so don’t know about the strength or competition level. But looks like a legit OT prospect.

Agreed, no video of him having a hand in the dirt. I would like to see him fire out of a stance to get an idea of his run blocking ability. His feet and speed looks good, I hope he is coachable and a quick learner.

Need to get stronger. But has good feet. Actujally can't really tell from the video. I like how he uses his hands. Would have been nice to have him go through the offseason program. Would like to see his weight be between 310 to 315 pounds.

Looks to me that he was a high school class of '20 kid who was 6'3" then. His JC profile lists him at 6'5" and 270 and he's probably closer to that I'd imagine at the moment. He looks like he has tackle length. He had a recruiting profile for basketball coming out of high school, so probably a better than average athlete.

This free article from Adam states 3 years to play: https://247sports.com/Article/Color...oes-contemplates-future-in-Boulder-181867104/

As does this free article: https://247sports.com/college/color...s-the-trigger-commits-to-Buffaloes-181928346/

But I wonder if he wouldn't get the +1 for Covid? I think he's just 2 years out of High School. At any rate, this level of JC ball is top notch and he was 2nd team all conference despite missing 4 games according to one of those articles.

Summer JUCO transfers don't get a lot of offers, so the list doesn't bother me like it normally would.

We needed to backfill the lack of OTs recruited in recent classes. I'm looking at this one from the perspective of anything he gives us on game day before 2023 is a surprise upside. This is how you build depth on the OL - and 300 LB developmental guys can at least give you a great scout team look as they develop.

He finishes blocks, there is that. Let's see how he does against bigger folks. Good to have him.
