Montez
While there is legit excitement about Montez for many, there is a sizeable contingent who see him as the Achilles Heel of the offense and someone who will prove to be equally bad as good. They are wrong.
Montez is the best CU QB talent in a long time and the first since Detmer to have true NFL potential, with all respect to Sefo. I believe he has matured over the past year (witness his physical transformation from doughboy to rock and spring award for work ethic) and will be a playmaker at QB who will grow with each week, giving us a fun few years of outstanding QB play. Bottom line is that his Pac 12 POW award in his first start is just the start and by years end Montez will be included in a (crowded) top tier of great QB's in the P12.
Edwards
In a recent interview, Jim Jeffcoat said that Edwards "is an impact player". You can't coach girth that can move, which is Edwards. Might he be limited to 2-3 plays before needing a blow? Sure, pretty much like all the other 350 lb mammoths that have been difference makers. But every play he is own the field is a play the offense is going to think differently.
Worthington
His combination of size and speed is NFL caliber. He's not the athlete that Isiah Oliver is, but he is a real deal 6'2" 210 who can fly. He started 3 games as a true freshman but is a different human being and football player today after his year away from the program and the birth of his child. Worthington is a secret weapon today no one is talking about, but is a playmaker who will make an impact at all the levels on defense.
CU's defense will be better than most expect because there are impact players about to be unveiled.
