Thirty years later, it is still considered to be one of the iconic moments in golf history: Hale Irwin, seconds after sinking a 45-foot putt on the 18th hole of the final day of the 1990 U.S. Open at Medinah Country Club, racing along the gallery ropes, delivering high fives to a throng of appreciative fans.
