Until TIPOFF lets get this party started in the bball forum!

This is our year to beat kansas, finish high in the big 12, and go to the tourney

Lets turn the hype meter up and get pumped

I havent been this exited for a bball season since i was 11 years old (02-03)

I cant wait to rush the court when we beat kansas just like I did 8 years ago but this time as a student

they say guards can get you to the sweet 16 and i am down with that

I like your frankly, INSANE, predictions and hopes. I couldn't have them for football season, so let's do it with bball!
 
I'm really pumped up too. I think this year is going to be really special and I hope we can get a lot of people out to see the start of it. I also think this might numb some of the inevitable football related pain that is sure to come.

i have one concern and its rebounding.

NIT at the least. maybe we can make a push for the tourney. if we do. can you say road trip!?

This thread is no place for concerns bbads only hype i think all will be surprised at how hard this team is gonna crash the boards guards and all. But yes WHEN we make the tourney we are going no matter the location. GoldenBuff i hope we get alot of fans to see this team early too so when conference play comes around we can blow the roof off and make the CEC a feared location for opponents
 
As a member of the basketball band here, I've seen both the women and men evolve over the past 5 years. I think this season will be the best for both in a long time. Maybe a bit less so for the ladies but I'm still very optimistic. The arena has slowly started to fill higher and it would be really exciting for more that just the chickenhawk game to sell out. Here's to hoping everyone!
 
TO HOPING (raises glass)! Friday will be a Blast! But im also very exited to watch the georgia game on fsn, what a way for TB to get started on the road by beating a team that is also getting sleeper votes for the tourney after bzz had all of his road troubles
 
Definitely looking forward to a special season from the men's bball team! Hoping for some early season wins to build the crowds up. CEC is definitely more fun when the place gets full.

As long as they play hard every night and win more than they lose, most everyone will enjoy basketball season.
 
I can't believe how excited I am for a matchup with Idaho State. This could be a special season. Go BUFFS!!
 
This is the most excited I've been for CU basketball since Billups was here. Go Buffs!

Anyone pumped for the Oregon State-CU game on December 4th? I don't think the MBB team will pull a similar stunt that the football team pulled when playing a future Pac-12 team.

going as well, hopefully we can show a future pac 12 mate we aren't a complete mess.

excited for the season, i like that cu just figured out maybe it is a good idea to run up and down the court at altitude and run teams into the ground (i mean doug moe had this figured out 30 years ago.)

good luck boyle, should be fun to watch.

Alright so I got 2 of the predictions right, now if we can just please beat the **** out of kansas tomorrow this will be perfect. And ill trade the rushing the court on texas for kansas i guess. Lets get this W tomorrow GO BUFFS keep makin me look good! haha
 
It's been one hell of a ride. Buffs started the season with some rough losses, got hot in December/early January to start 14-4 (3-0), then slipped to 16-11 (5-7), and then have gone on a solid run when it counts (with the except of @ ISU) to get to 21-12 and safely in the big dance. Funny, a few weeks ago no one was giving the Buffs any chance. The Buffs were completely off the bubble, but that 71-68 win in Lubbock started to turn the tide and gave the Buffs a chance to make a move. The rest is history...
 
good call UtterBuff. You know basketball.

Others have said it and I agree, a major thing today was when Higgins got mugged by 2, coming up court and TB got righteously angry, but avoided a T and calmed his guys down. Total strenghth of character by the players - and M Rel also got hit hard and managed to keep his cool, in the same time period. It's like ksu thought they (and the refs) could muscle us and push us into giving up.


This is great.
