Exciting times.
Exciting times.
I dont get why they don't just take the winners of the Rose Bowl, Orange Bowl, Sugar Bowl, and Fiesta Bowl and have those teams enter into the 4 team playoff. I know it would basically turn it into a 8 team playoff, however it still protects the integrity of the regular season.

this is a good planI dont get why they don't just take the winners of the Rose Bowl, Orange Bowl, Sugar Bowl, and Fiesta Bowl and have those teams enter into the 4 team playoff. I know it would basically turn it into a 8 team playoff, however it still protects the integrity of the regular season.
Agree with S2S. If you are going to have a playoff this best keeps the integrity of what we already have.

The only comment in option 1 that I liked was the play the games closer to 1 January. I am so tired of the drawn out bowl season. I do like the campus site thing though for any semi-finals event.
Problem w/ the S2S option is that it will draw out the "bowl" season by another couple of weeks, and try to get the fans to travel in support of essentially 3 bowl games in 3 consecutive weeks may be difficult.
good point, we modify S2S's plan and start the BCS bowl a week after the conference championship games.
I see no reason to modify the plan. Keep it as-is. Have one "playoff" game in the West, one in the East. Travel won't be so bad that way. Hold the championship game at the same location as the Super Bowl, only a week before. That would be a football lovers dream.
